Dump your boyfriend and move somewhere where they are hiring new grads or take a job that may not be your top choice, get your experience and then find a job that you really like or want..I moved half way across the country, took a $6 an hour pay cut to get my foot in the door in the field I wanted to work and after a year, I got offers from every place that I applied and took the job that I wanted!

Having been a nurse for over 20 years, I have never saved a life by myself...it is always a TEAM effort and if you are looking for some sort of validation by wearing a t shirt like that, you are in the wrong profession!

Stop being a self sacrificial lamb..no one is going to care if you haven't peed your entire shift because you were too busy and no one is going to die if you go to the bathroom...I have been a nurse for 20+ years and have worked everything from med surge to being a flight nurse and no one died or had a life threatening event happen because I went to pee!

It's not a matter of "deserve"..it's all a matter of supply and demand.

I have one reply for them all and it usually shuts them up pretty quickly..I say I am a flight nurse and that usually shuts them up.Now I know that not all here are in that field, but I am sure that you can find something about your job that totally rocks over anything the other does..unless they are James Bond.

You are on maternity leave. You have no pt/nurse relationship with the child at this time...as long as that does not change, there is no issue.You are not providing any care to the child.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee..anything you post whether it is in your free time or not,you can be held accountable for.Organizations can fire people for their postings on social networking sites and AN is no different.
