  1. Hi All!!.. Just wanted to say Good luck to the MSN class that started this month.. You got this!!! And for anyone that is starting in May 2018, a facebook page has been created, search for "Samford University Nurse Anesthesia DNP Class of 2021".. see y'all in May!!
  2. me too, I was very impressed!! and once I started talking to the faculty I just wanted to go there even more!! I really feel like they have a great thing going compared to A LOT of programs I've seen on my extensive research... aaannd their students seem to be the happiest and most content!! (at least that's how I observed and I've talked to many SRNAs from different programs)... I decided to go for the DNP!! Congratulations!!
  3. I got in!! anyone else?
  4. Hi All!! Any advice and tips on how to prepare for the interview? Does anyone know of someone who interviewed last year? And How was their interview experience?.. I know you've told me its laid back and its get-to-know-you questions but is there going to be clinical questions as well?.. I guess I'm just so nervous and kind of looking for guidance and reassurance....Thanks..
  5. yup!! that'd be sooo great!!!..lol.. I'm just hoping they'll ask us of our preferences during our interviews...
  6. Thank you.. June 5th.. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  7. Anyone heard any decision? Who got accepted?
  8. I agree that the website isn't very clear. They are still offering MSN for Spring 2018 in addition to the 1st DNP class starting May 2018. If you indicated on the application form AND your resume that you are applying for DNP then you would be considered for DNP, and you would be considered for MSN if that's what you indicated on the online application and your resume. I don't know if they will be asking us for our degree preference during the day of the interview (I am hoping they will)..
  9. Congratulations!!! are you going in the morning or afternoon?
  10. Thank you!! And Congratulations to you as well and to anminor08!
  11. Does anyone know of someone in the program?.. any inputs or advice for the interview?.. clinical questions vs. personal (or get-to-know-you) questions??
  12. I did too!!!!so extremely excited and nervous!!😬😬
  13. I am patiently waiting as well. and praying hard for an invitation to interview
  14. I haven't heard anything either.. I am getting very restless..
  15. i'm just wondering which hospitals or institutions UB is affiliated with for their clinicals?
  16. i am so sorry to hear about your story... most of us nurses have some stories to tell as far as bad experiences and errors..the only difference from mine to yours pro'lly is i was at a more nurturing and encouraging environment....try to draw as much courage as you can to look at it as a blessing that you are now out of the institution, and now have another oppurtunity to look for a better one..hold your head up!!..and good luck, don't let this experience hold you down!!..
