  1. oh and it's iv/bloodwithdrawl!
  2. im going to university of antelope valley in july for mine. may be a ways out for you but it's during the weekend. here's the site http://www.uavcpr.com/
  3. I was thinking I would do all 4 semesters so I can get my ADN and if I wanted to later get my BSN because I heard alot of hopitals are starting to require a minimum of ADN. If I did the bridge program I would only do the last 2 semesters, but I'm thinking getting the degree will benefit me more plus I would learn more taking all semesters.
  4. Yup! My school lost that instructor and could not find a replacement so the nurse we had was a Public Health Nurse and a Med-Surge Nurse...rediculous!
  5. Oops! lol I meant STRAIN in the title, not straim
  6. At my ob rotation I know there was a young female that had hpv but with genital warts and it was on her cervix and she had a c-section, but I was wondering what about women with the cancer causing strain? Is it harder for them to get pregnant or carry the baby to full term? And what if they've had cryosurgery? I've asked my instructor before but she didnt know anything about ob! Can you ob nurses help educate me on this? Very appreciated thanks
  7. I live in upstate and a new grad from cali and I had an interview at Carthage Area Hospital for part time evenings LPN in the skilled nursing unit and they offered me a per diem position insteade, they were supposed to call me to take a med test since passing it is a requirement and needless to say it's been almost 2 months and 5 calls to them later and they havent called me so I can take that test so I can start working...so I've given up on it and I'm looking else where and so far no luck
  8. I'm an LVN and working on my prerequisites for the rn program and I was wondering if its better for me to do the bridge program or taking all 4 semesters?
  9. That's how I've looked at it too! Totally worth the money just sucks that it takes a while to pay it
  10. Wow with the economy I would think it would have got cheaper since I went but seems like it's getting more and more higher. With the supposably "nursing shortage" I don't understand how jobs are so scarce! I cant find one and applied to like 7 places already, how do they expect us to pay schooling off!? I have a school loan from salliemae and I got 13 more years to pay it off blahh, won't take me that long if I find a job!! I'm so frustrated.
  11. I'm assuming your school is a private school as well? These prices are ridiculous! The local community college has a 2 year waiting list to get in and just to get your prerequisite classes are so hard with all the budget cuts because then there's less classes available and everyone wants them. Grr! Makes me upset!
  12. I live near there and it's not so bad, close to LA and Hollywood so if you like to party then it's perfect! Vegas is a few hours aways if you want a weekend get away. I say take it! Bakersfield is alot better then some of the surrounding areas.
  13. Hi I was curious to see how much schools are everywhere else... i'll start off with mine.. 2008 Lancaster, CA $22,000 (I feel I paid to much:crying2:)
  14. Thank you I did find a lot of places!
