Remington College of Nursing - Orlando
I know this is a Remington College blog, but I was too looking into this school almost a year now and it was too expensive and too requirements to get in. However, I found a school in Puerto Rico and I love it. I found the school in Aug 2010 and instantly got accepted for Nov 2010. It's also an accelerated accredited program which goes by trimester... Its not easy, but its worth it. I did not have to take TEAs exam, or BIO, or Micro to get in. The cost is 170 per credit.. The nursing classes I'm taking right now are Med- Surge and Psychosocial. Anatomy is merged into Med-Surge which is difficult but what I've seen from the professors they make sure that you understand the material. There is alot of reading. If all goes well, I will be getting my associates in June 2011, I already have a BA and this school took all my credits... I'm not sure if I will do a BSN in Nursing, I'm tired of school.. Besides, I already have a Masters in Healthcare Management. I will see how things continue to go in PR.. I feel good about this move, I moved from GA with my 7yr old daughter. I'm at ease, didn't have to take teas, extra pre-req, or do the long application process.. I met individuals from Chicago, MI, Ohio, FL, and California... I wanted to share my experience because I was too on this blog trying to get info about this school. I found a school to suite my needs... Wish everyone good luck, I hope you all get through..

Hello designer-mommy, We do not speak any spanish at all. I will be attending Universidad de Puerto Rico Metro area. I have tried calling the department of education in PR to get a list, but I did not get any answer. The english schools I've found are private and very expensive. If you don't mind me asking, what is the name of the school that your daughter goes to? Any information you can give will be helpful..... thank you!

Patientlywaitingagain, Thanks for the info, very helpful. I have schedule an appointment and I was told to prepare to take the TEAS Exam. Can you give me an idea what the exam was like? I took some practice questions, but I am sooo outdated and did not do so well on those. Can a calculator be used?

Hello Onholdlpn, Overall, would you recommend this school? I know that they are expensive but if the teachers are good at what they do and I think I can keep up at their pace. I'm a little worried about the calculation test that may have the possiblity of sitting out the program. Do you know anyone who completed the program? What were the class schedule like? Attending this program, do you think someone can work part time and attend the school? How much is the LPN program and how long is that program? Thanks in advance,
