In home health risk assessment
I am currently doing in home assessments a couple of days per week. I live in a rural area in Indiana, so my drive time is killer. They do pay $75 per assessment, plus $10 per hour, plus mileage. The money is good, but I spend a lot of time on the road. I would say it's easy money, but wouldn't recommend it as a new grad. I'd want the clinical time first.

FNP Salary Indiana?
I work in acute care in rural indiana and started just over 100K. That's 36/hrs per week. I get 9hrs of PTO every 2 weeks, 1 week CME, and 2500 in education benefits. I was told that I would have to take a cut going to primary care, but wasn't told how much. Hope this helps.

IU RN to BSN
I finished the RN-BSN program at IUPUC in December 2012. The columbus campus was cheaper than the Indy and Bloomington campus, but all the classes were the same. I did mine all online and all of the campuses were combined in classes. Consider this when you apply to the program. I loved the program. It was very do-able with a full-time job.

New LPN/RN Pay Rate
All the IU Health academic hospitals (IU, Riley, & Methodist) start new nurses at $22.00 with a $5.50 weekend differential. They just recently announced that they would be taking away our after 3pm premium. Community westiview for PRN starts experienced nurses out at $30 per hour with a 15% increase for weekends and a 15% increase for weekends.

Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants
Well it sounds to me like you're going to be an RN! I'm not sure which campus this is, but it's definitely an interesting way of doing things. Just stay on top and things and make sure you're where you're supposed to be ranked on the first day! Best wishes.

Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants
I've found Madison to have excellent response time. I hate calling Ivy Tech with a question and having to wait on hold for hours. Madison always returns my calls and answers my questions immediately. I also did some research and they had a 95% NCLEX pass rate last semester. I decided to drive 15 minutes more each day to go to Madison :)

Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants
So this week as been extremely rough for me. I put in my 2 weeks notice at work last friday. They offered me more money on Monday and when I turned it down they fired me on the spot. I was practically speechless. I went to Madison on Tuesday to get my books and that was a disaster. I purchased the big box that included most of the classes, but when I opened it up and compared what was in it to the list of what they said was in it, I was 2 study guides short. I'm really curious as to if this has happened to anyone else? The bookstore manager is looking into it, but it's hard telling how long that will take. Aside from the book issue I've got everything purchased. Now I'm just waiting on my uniforms to come in :) Hope everyone else is doing well!
