the summer there is no weekend hours but in the fall and spring it varies. In my interview I was told to leave the day open because they may be day/evening hours depending upon the hospital. in the fall I see on the website that they have clinicals set for 8am-4pm.

yeah i already sent mine in. I am just awaiting them to package it in. My summer aid been in since 3rd week in March.

Guys I have been calling the financial aid office almost everyday asking the same questions, but getting different answers from everyone. What is constant is that WE MAY HAVE TO PAY OUR SUMMER AID UP FRONT FIRST because they may not process the SUMMER AID in time for us to start school on MAY 24th. They say they can not process SUMMER AID until SPRING grades come out..I Informed them that ADVANCE BSN STUDENTS are not awaiting SPRING grades and that our AID can be processed NOW. If we as a "COHORT" can come together and call and make this an issue we may can get our AID processed! I did not plan to pay my first semester OUT OF POCKET. I think it is stupid that they are processing FALL/SPRING aid before the SUMMER. Please call and stress your concern at 610-436-2627.

Well, we can still get aid as a part time student the nursing department telling wrong information. You dont have to be full time but if you DONT take 12 credits for the summer we will be considered PART TIME. Either way you WILL GET AID! If you want to pick up another class you can add NSG 224 which runs after all our classes are over from Aug. 2nd through Aug. 6th. It is Domestic Violence Advacacy. ( talking to victims of abuse)

well let me tell you getting financial aid is going to be a hassel west chester process is slow......financial aid can not provide me a package until i register for classes. I am getting confused already!

correct the program ends Dec 2011, but we also have breaks off so if you really add it up and do the math its about 15 months. We get x mas break, spring break and other days here and there.

Yes! I got my acceptance letter on Friday 2/26/2010.....I am excited cant not wait to put faces to everyone who I have been talking to.

I will be attending this May the tutition is about 21,000 not including housing, books, transportation, uniforms, etc. I have spoken to many people and they all were 2nd degree student who had no knowledge of nursing compared to their first degree. The feedback that I recieved was that it is challenging and alot of studying. I heard they can be disorganized, but that layout of the program is not what the NCLEX is testing us on so for the most part if you study you should be fine. One of the teachers told me in the interview if I can get pass the first semester I will be fine.

yes I was told the same thing. They are still interviewing my friend has an appointment for sometime this week coming.

@LEFTY..the good thing is that u pay per semester which is good for me because my credit is not the best and I would need a co-signer which i dont have. so the first semester is about 3,200 2nd 3,400, 3rd-5th is 4,500..so about 20,000 to 21,000..again that is just tuition..BOOKS, UNIFORMS, TRANSPORTATION, LIVING EXPENSE IS NOT ADDED. SO REALLY IF U ADD IT UP IT NOT MUCH CHEAPER THAN DREXEL..DREXEL ADDED EVERYING WHICH GAVE US AT GRAND TOTAL OF 37,000

@Arievilo..how was the human diease course? I am soooo excited so i have alot of questions u can inbox me if u do not want to post all the answers..how comfortable were you when u took the NCLEX after the program? How was the course work given compared to what they tested u on? were the test like the NCLEX where all the answers are right u just have to pick the best fit answer? How did you do on the HESSE before u took the NCLEX? What teachers to watch out for and hoe did you manage to swing your life around from the summer day schedule to the fall/spring evening schedule? I know it is alot of questions, but if you are willing to be a reasoure can i ask you more question as they come to mind.

Interview was great. they looking for at least a 2.75 in the required sciences and about a 3.5 in GPA in your degree that u already recieved. They are looking for the best of the best. They are looking for 32-35 quailified people and their next cohort MAY NOT be until MAY. Usually they take 23-25 per cohort and have a new cohort every May/January but they are trying to do away with the january class, by making the May cohort bigger. She said they may not find 32-35 quailified students THAT ALREADY HAS THE PRE-REQ DONE

Nope because my credit score is too low to take out the amount of loan money i need, so I am pushing back untl September it should be better than i need to get some credit, that is what I am lacking now. I am also appling to West Chester who program is cheaper...I have a interview comin up.

yes the man name on the application..we spoke and email each other and he said it would not be offered. He is really good with responding to his email so if you want to email him you can. Yeah so I wanted to know before i got excited so now i am working on PLAN D. Plan A was me getting a loan Plan B was cosigner (which i dont have) Plan C was that scholarship and now Plan D which i dont know. I am currently working on my credit so that i would not need a cosigner.

I am talking about the HUP scholarship that was offered to drexel students.

I talked to the guy about the the scholarship and he informed me that it would not be offered for any other class because it was a one time thing. I guess they h ad extra money in 2009 budget and needed to get rid of the money ASAP!

I kept calling until they recieved my appliation than i called to ask how long it would take for a interview and about 2 days after that I got a interview date.

@ Lou..it was about a week, but i called often..i could not wait until i got a letter. My pervious degree was in criminology/sociology. Graduated with 3.2..I got 2B's 1A 1C (microbiology 78% almost made a B) in my sciences so i am over the 2.7 they request you to have for your sciences. overall in my pre-req i have about a 3.0 if not higher.
