Hi everyone, I am going to the El Centro/Methodist program, I wanted to know if you all know your schedule yet. Our orentiation isnt until aug 18. Just want to get any info I can.

I am kinda in the same situation as you. But I am 20 weeks preggo and I am going to start nursing school in Aug. I know that its going to be tough, but all of the nurses (I'm a tech at the hospital) are really supportive of me. Granted its going to be hard. But you have to do what you have to do. Our baby is due the end of November (Thanksgiving). Hubby is going to go on paternity leave for the two final weeks of the semester and I will be at home with the baby until 2nd semester starts. Then off to day care .... I hate to send my newborn to daycare so early but we have to do what we have to do. I declined the entry into nursing school for fall of 2010, so at this point there is nothing stopping me now!!! Good Luck, Trust in the Lord and he will provide away for you to finish on time!!!!

Well KL called me yesterday and offered me a spot, I declined the spot. I have decided to attend uta-ap program. I hate that I will not get to meet all of you on july 16, good luck!!!

I spoke to KL the other day and she told me that I was the only 22 that didnt get in, my teas was a 81:mad: But that means that I'm on the top of the alternate list, so that makes me happy. She told me to mail everything back in, so I'm still hopeful.

Well I guess my 22 points was not good enough, because I only got in as an alternate. I'm so disappointed.

I'm curious for everyone who has recieved a package whats in it? Does it tell you were clinicals will be held, what color scrubs will we wear, what will our schedule look like? Or is it more like congrats, and confirm your acceptance?

No problem, I was so happy to be able to post it. But I do know what you mean, this feeling of "what if", won't be lifted over my head until I see the letter. You know what I can't wait to do, I can't wait till I buy my first pair of scrubs. LOL

i have wonderful news!!!! ok so i called kl to ask about the fact that the school was closed on friday, she said she was trying to have the letters mailed out by thursday, but at the latest monday. but here is the exciting news; i asked her if 22 looked good and she said, get this ---- that she only had 20 more applications to put in the computer and that 22’s and up were getting in. she said that she would be really surprised if a 22 didn’t get in. she said that she couldn’t guarantee anything but i got off the phone a happy little camper. :w00t: so for all you 23’s congrats!!!! i have 22 points but i have faith that i will get in.

I'm tempted to call because WC is closed on Friday.

WC's LVN program is my back up if I don't get into UTA-AP program

I applied to UTA's AP program, so if I don't get in at WC I will go there. (Hopefully) My plan is to go to WC Lvn program and then bridge over. I don't have a back up plan to nursing. Just ways to obtain my degree.

Well I guess with the letters going out on April 2, I will readjust the countdown. 7 more days.

Thank you, I spoke with the director this morning, and she said that she would get down to the bottom of it. There are 2 teachers in the class room, and I love them, they are really good with my girls. I started looking at other daycares today just in case this happens again.

calling all mothers!!! please help. i have two year old twins who attend day care. one of my daughters came home with scratches on her face and neck. i asked and no one at the day care saw what happened!!!! when i asked her who scratched her she told me. (ok, i was very angry but because no one saw what happened water under the bridge please make sure you watch them more carefully!!!) this morning when i dropped them off one of my daughters was crying on the floor (lol, i know, they were at home with me until this january so they are still fussy in the mornings) the same little boy kicked my daughter. the child that did it has behavior problems and he needs to be suspended. at this point i'm going to talk to the director, and if she does not do something about this child i am pulling my daughters out. hopefully i will start my nursing program in august. i want the piece of mind knowing that my children are safe from everything, i just want to send my girls to daycare without worrying about them being hit and scratched by the other kids my question to you is where does your child go to day care???? do you like the daycare? do you feel like your child is learning something?? thank you. oh and i am in the s arlington, mansfield area.
