  1. I love it when they say "Chimley" for chimney I have lived all of my life in Ohio. Most of it in the Akron area, but lived 10 years in beautiful Southern Ohio. (Cambridge) I have to laugh though because my cousins were from upstate Michigan and when they talked about a cow, it took us fifteen minutes to figure out what they were talking about. I can't begin to tell you how they pronounced it!
  2. This was a very therapeutic thread. It really isn't much different in the real world outside of nursing school. My biggest pet peeve was the fact that I attended a Christian College and the instructors were the biggest hypocrites I have ever met! They would do anything to help you FAIL:devil:
  3. I believe everyone has their own reason for becoming a nurse. At the age of 44, I went back to school to get my BSN. This has been a passion of mine for 20 years. I love to care for people and help them in any way I can; be it emotionally, compassionately, or just listening to them. I also am pursuing my dream because I have three children to support. Ages 14, 13, and 11. The fact that nursing is a diverse field that can fit any schedule(at least in our area), I am going for it. From what I have heard as far as pay scales, nurses are greatly underpaid! In nursing class the first day our instructor told us "If your'e in it for the money, you may want to evaluate your reason for being here." Nursing is a caring, compassionate field that requires dedication. My respect to all of the nurses out there, soon I will be one of you!
  4. Go to www.nursing.ohio.gov/ there is a side bar that says education and if you click on that it brings up a category for RN and LPN NCLEX results for the past three years
  5. Everyone has pretty much covered life as a nursing student. It is a hard course, but you must persevere and do the best you can. Everything will fall into place a little at a time, don't rush through your studies...take the time to soak everything up. Some things are going to stick easier than others, but you will be surprised at how much you are able to pull out of your head when needed. You will do just fine if you keep the faith that YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!! Good Luck:D
  6. I will do that in the future, I am new to these boards and don't post a lot. Thanks for the input.:)

  8. What a rewarding experience Home Health Care sounds like. It is one area that I will be looking into when I graduate. What an inspiration you are to us.

  12. You are so right. I know what Christ has done for me in my life, and it saddens me that there are so many out there that are lost. It is a much better life doing it the Lord's way than my way. Stay close to Jesus my sister in Christ.

  14. I did not mean to offend you by my info I had received. I will definitely check out my resources better the next time. Although the info came from the ANA.Your reply was a little hasty, and I did not mean to cause you upset. As I said before, Good luck in your schooling.
