I'm really sorry to hear you fail. You were so close!. You know when you were mentioning your questions we almost had identical subjects on our tests! I failed my first try too. It was tough and pretty good soul searching time for me. I took my time to get over the fact that I failed and after that i just said well i'm bound to take it again.. for the last 3 weeks before the test.. i studied from 9 am to 7 pm..... Memorized all growth and development, Vaccinations, and Fluid and Electrolyte stuff.. If you have a friend that has the Kaplan workbook, use that.. use the cd from it.. its very helpful!.. good luck in studying for the next one.. keep us posted on your progress!!..

I PASSED BOARDS!!! I'm so happy!! I'm sorry I didn't post it earlier, I've been so busy at work especially when i found out that I passed boards!. I took the test last tuesday 2/17 and found out friday 2/20 morning before work at 5 am !!.. I couldn't sleep for couple few days because I thought I failed it especially answering 265 questions in 5 hours!!.. i paid the pearsonvue to view the results and it said I passed!.. I was jumping and called my parents at 5 in the morning to tell them I passed (they're both nurses as well) Thursday night I had a crying fit coz I thought I didn't pass and had to retake it again.. I was praying so hard and wishing it would be good news.. All I can say for you guys is that thanks for the thoughts that day. Also, for those of you studying for the test. Kaplan was the one that worked for me. The Kaplan cd that came with the workbook was very similar to the test questions that NCLEX had, too similar in some questions, i think. But definitely the book is very worth it. I took both the online review and the class review. It was a good experience... now I can finally sleep!!... I'm totally freaked out about mine as well!!.. no results posted yet and I'm already thinking that I failed.. i'm with you MPNurse.. i got the same set of questions that you have.. a lot of SLE, priorities, who's getting DC'd and what not.. i'm so nervous.. I'm at work right now sorry for the late response.. I'm so so so so worried!!.. I need some positive thoughts to get me through this

My head is so hurting right now. I'm back to work and waiting anxiously for the results of my NCLEX. I haven't slept for the last 3 days maybt that's why i'm getting a headache. I've already taken Tylenol and its not working. geez, i need to get the results soon so that my stress level could actually go down.

Took the test today and answered 265 questions... so all i can say is when you are pass 75 questions that means you're still passing. just pace yourself and relax. don't rush into the questions.. just read and focus on what they're asking. also, what helped me was the earplugs, even though the test center was quiet enough i still needed it so i didn't hear the people getting up to take their brakes or to leave. didn't notice i was the second to the last person in the room until i took a break at question 176 :) another thing, take breaks when you need it to take a hold of your anxiety.. that's all i could say right now.. again good luck and you could do this, you've studied for it !

Well you need to regester with the state board of nursing and also the paying the nclex 200 for retaking again. it usually takes 2 - 3 weeks for the e-mail of ATT and longer for the snail mail

I only have 2 more days before my NCLEX test . I've been studying with KAPLAN and been taking the tests on the cd. I'm just a nervous wreck right now. I can't stand to think about nursing stuff but I have to. I keep studying.. for four weeks straight i wake up recite lab values in my head and then eat breakfast, study for NCLEX from 9am to 8 pm then go to bed recite lab values so i could engrave it in my head and sleep. that was a cyclical activity. but now nclex is nearing and i'm getting depressed about it. The scores that i've been getting from kaplan is from 59 - 74, aaaaaaaaahhh.. i need to rest .. keep me in your prayers guys.. thanks

geez, i'm getting nervous myself. I will be taking my 2nd try of NCLEX on the 17th. I took the kaplan course after doing some self study for the first one. I've been doing the cd that came with kaplan and i'm getting so anxious for it.. I can't sleep at night. I dream about nursing theories and what to do when my patients have hypoglycemia, in shock, etc.. before i go to bed i recite the lab values, how freakish is that?.. heheheh.. yeah good luck next week and i'll keep you guys posted with mine.

Hi Everyone! I'm new to this forum and I've been reading the discussions about NCLEX. I'm going to be re-taking my NCLEX on February 17th :chair: . Yes that's about a week. I've been studying my tail off because I can't afford to fail the test again. I'm concerned as well because I don't know what I'd do if I fail. I'm not sure if I'm going to be losing my job or continue as a GN. Well anyhow, I'll keep you guys updated.
