Parm Question
cAMP is a second messenger, and second messengers have "cell-specific" effects; the increase in Ca++ in one cell doesn't necessarily mean that this is true in other cellular environments.

Dr. EGER and his book/dvd on the pharmacology of inhaled anesthetics.
Sigma...short answer to your statement/question...Yes, Dr Eger does advocate heavily for DES...He basically invented the product and is doing his best to market it....Despite his vested interest in one particular agent, he is still the world authority on IA's/U&D...I agree w/ the others as to the pros/cons of each agent...There is definitely a place for DES in everyday practice, while as a whole I don't find it to be more/less superior than the other VA's

how many have applied to TWU ??? part 2
I interview at TWU later this month and am also apprehensive about how to prepare for the interview. Everyone I have talked to says "just basic stuff you should know." I really don't like that answer, but it seems consistent. They have also said to be quick to admit ignorance if they try to baffle you...
