  1. We have some scribes and the MD's pay them out of their own pocket. So far, they haven't been a hinderance. I'm not sure if they really help tons, but they don't hurt so far!
  2. We've had many pregnant nurses in the ER I work in. Some have worked up until delivery time!! Just stay out of x-ray and ct, watch for possible meningitis pts, and get lifting help!! LOL! Good luck!
  3. I'm so sorry! I don't have any advice for you, but don't feel like you are alone. I'll be thinking of you while you wait for your results. I know how miserable the waiting is!!
  4. We have "initial" orders that can be started either at triage or by the bedside nurse prior to being seen my an MD. They are just basics tho, depending on the complaint. Also, depends on if we have someone available to even draw the labs at that time.
