  1. what was the phone interview like? what kind of things do they ask?
  2. Just wanted to check in and wish you guys luck in the waiting game! I know your half way through it but keep your heads up! Those letters will come soon enough! Im half way through first term and it is going great! It has rocked my world but Im loving it. We just had our simulations today before we start clinicals. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask away! I was in the same boat just a few months ago so I know your pain!
  3. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Im so happy for you guys! I knew you would get in!
  4. sounds about what I would do to! Good luck! hope you get a call!
  5. Oh that is so awesome! Congrats!!

  9. Good luck Lindsayy I hope it works! That would be perfect and def get you a spot for fall!
  10. Thank you! And congrats on making it through first term! Any advice for us newbies?
  11. Yeah I filled out the WIA application on Tuesday and everything and they told me I would hear back in 72 hours. I havent heard anything yet and I called them on Friday and they can't find my application, awesome! Did you go to the worksource office and talk to them first? Im wondering if that would be better? I did the fingerprinting at the UPS on old baymeadows rd, it took like 5 minutes and I went ahead and got my passport photo to. They give a discount to FSCJ students. The photo is only 7.99+tax instead of 12.99. Also did the background check and was confused about the employment thing because I dont work anymore, so I just put my most recent employer. All I have left to get done is the drug screen, titters and physical which ill do on monday and the CPR which Ill get on tuesday! yay can't wait to have this done! My daughters 1st birthday is next week and I have a test in alegebra, so im almost overwhelmed!
  12. any advice?
  13. Oh ok you can take it twice a year and every 3 months
  14. So I guess denial letters are out and the cut off for summer was 195.8! I barley made it in!
  15. Sorry to hear that KT, good luck for the fall!! Just retake the NAT and see if you can up your points!! I believe last fall's cut off was 201 with 144 something slots (not sure about that) but I know the cut off was crazy high! My friend had 199 and thought for sure she would get in and got denied. Hopefully it is less than that, everyone said that last fall was a crazy fluke because spring and summer term went back down
  16. Hey Im giving worksource a try to see if I get anything. What did they say when you went and talked to them? I also signed up for the CPR class at St. Vincents on March 22, so Ill see you there!
  17. Good Luck and hang in there the rest of you! There is still hope! Keeping my fingers crossed that you guys get in!
  18. Thanks for that info! Ill call tomorrow to sign up for the 22nd, hope they still have room! that would be perfect because I have class at Kent campus at 12:30 so ill just go to class right after
  19. I tried calling st. Lukes yesterday and got their voicemail so I left a message. Hopefully they will call back soon! I want to take my CPR there
  20. I called fscj yesterday to ask about the child care stuff and they told me they weren't accepting anything until April. Also I called worksource and you have to go online first to fill out an application and wait until you hear back from them or something. Im going tomorrow to northside medical clinic to get the physical and titers and drug test. Also Im getting my fingerprinting done afterwards at the UPS store on Old Baymeadows rd. Today im working on background check, finger printing, and finding CPR class.
  21. Thanks HF2010! thats really helpful!
  22. Thanks, I will definitely be calling them tomorrow!
  23. Good for you K nurse! you are ahead of some of us! Congrats to everyone again! I still can't believe we are finally here! Ive looked through the packet and man its a lot! I need to get my CPR cert. still so Ill be looking into that, whatever is the cheapest!
