Has anyone heard about the waiting list? Trying to be patient =)

What are you all doing about housing? Is anyone familiar with Boca Raton and want to give me some suggestions for reasonably priced apartments?

Anyone know anything about the program at UCF vs the one at FAU? It is difficult to find information. The only real difference I see is that FAU is one semester shorter, which I can't decide is a good or a bad thing.

I just finished applying to accelerated programs and I believe all of the programs I applied to (at several public universities in Florida) require a 3.0 minimum. However, one of the programs (UF) calculated this GPA based on only the last 60 credit hours taken. Maybe that would help.

I was waitlisted. For those that got in, is there a notify by date on your letter? That will maybe give us an idea about when we will find out about getting in.

Still nothing and my mail just came. I am in Gainesville. Anyone else not hear yet?

I could be wrong but I think mail is actuallly sent to jax first then back to gville

I thought they would be sent out the end of this week because UF has spring break next week. Administrators take off for break too don't they? Maybe not.

Hey Shaunna thanks for the info - you are a nice little resource = ) CNA Sam - yes I will! The only benefit (that I personally see) to other programs is the start date. I would rather start in the summer. Oh well, win some lose some.

I think someone will probably make one once the decisions go out. I think its a great idea - easier to get to know people.

I did accept it, but only after I talked to "someone" (they get angry on here if you put in names) in the UF nursing advising office about it. I don't want to say too much because I'm really silly and afraid of jinxing myself lol. I don't think you should worry about GRE too much. The impression that I got from the website was that as long as it is over 1000 it is fine.

I really don't know if I have a good chance or not. I feel a little more confident after getting into another program, but it is so hard to say because the website doesn't list average GPAs etc.

If any current students are reading this still, can you tell us what additional items (besides books) are required for the program? I know somethings like scrubs are pretty obvious, but what about other items? I know some programs require a PDA device?

I got my letter today and got an interview. They said in the letter that they got 550 applications! I think that includes the traditional program too though.

Aw yay! I was so upset when I found out I was waitlisted I wish they had just waited to tell me you know? Since it only took two days. Are you definitely attending?

I don't think all decisions have been made because there are some people on the FAU thread for allnurses that haven't heard yet. I find it really strange that they don't tell everyone at once, but maybe they have their reasons.

I got an email saying I was waitlisted on Monday and then another today saying that I was in. I guess they were able to take me off the list fast because they require answers from people so fast lol.

Hey guys, I thought you might like to know that I talked to *** today and he said "they" would be meeting the first week of March to make decisions. I think most of us knew that already since we anticipated letters around the 7th or 8th, but still, not too much longer!

I found out today that I got accepted for FAU (I was waitlisted too) so maybe you will hear something! They want to know by tomorrow though whether or not I will attend and I have not heard from other schools yet including UF, my first choice.

I found out through email. I know one day is crazy. I emailed a lady and asked if there is anyway that they would be able to extend it. I feel a bit bad about doing that because I know there are people on the waitlist waiting for that spot, but still. I thought about going to someone's office, but I don't know that he would tell me anything...it's worth a shot though I guess. I got my FAU login set up email yesterday, but I wasn't sure whether that was because I got into the nursing program of just the University in general. I find it strange they didn't tell everyone at the same time.

Hey guys, I am very torn right now. I just found out today that I was accepted into FAU's program which I was really excited about until I found out I have to tell them by TOMORROW whether or not I will attend. As you know, we haven't heard from UF yet. I am really hoping to stay at UF. However, I can't imagine turning down FAU in case I don't end up getting into UF. I wonder if I talked to someone if he would be able to give me any insight (ie tell me if I'm getting into UF lol). I highly doubt it though. Sigh

Hey everyone! I just found out that I was accepted today! However, I am torn. I have not heard yet from UF, where I am currently an undergrad and my first choice. I will not hear from them until March and I am supposed to tell FAU by tomorrow whether I accept or decline. Anyone else in a similar situation?

The online information is not updated for me either, which I was pretty worried about for a while. I remember in the email she said the target date for mailings is today. No mail today though I don't think. So I hope we find out soon! I found out I didn't get into FAU today so I want to hear some good news.

Hello! I was hoping to apply for USF's accelerated program for summer, but I recently found out that you need to have your first bachelor's degree finished before the application deadline. I won't be finished until May! I am applying to other programs for the summer/fall, but if they don't work out I will apply for the fall.
