  1. Does anyone know of any longterm care/skilled nursing facilities that are hiring new graduates, I am trying to relocate back to Vegas but having a tough time finding employment. Thanks!!!!
  2. The sad thing is you dont really use too much algebra in nursing. Basic math yes, but algebra for the most part no! All of the math I did in nursing school, and all of the drug calculations are really quite easy with practice3. I hate math and suck at math and have no problem with the calculation in school. I just graduated and passes all of my math for meds classes with A's
  3. Thanks for the info =) Yea I called five different recruiters within a hospital system there, and not one called back. Frustrating!!! but that's how it is just about everywhere now.
  4. Hi ablight, Do you know of any hospitals in Vegas that are hiring new graduates right now? I am thinking about moving back to Las Vegas when I graduate this semester with my wife and family. Any info would be appreciated.
  5. My wife and I are both in the nursing field and have been researching the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque areas to relocate to. We have a young family (ages 5, 3, and 1), so living in a family friendly neighborhood is imperative. Can anyone offer any insight for the best communities or developments/neighborhoods to raise an active young family? We don't mind commuting to work, but prefer proximity to parks and good schools.
  6. You mention you are disabled. Do you currently work as a RN? Investigation? I think we need a little bit more info
  7. I dont know much. I am currently in nursing school and it just seems like everything we go over, they stress that it is a good thing to hook up the cardiac monitor. example being potassium lab issues, COPD etc.. A question that I thought of is. In the med/surg area, you do need a doctors order for telemetry correct? In the ER setting you dont? This just popped into my head. Please clarify if this is correct. Thanks!!
