Btw im not registered for the nutrtion and philosophy classes now, im trying to get in all the classes are full. if i dont get a class and decide to take it in january will i still have enough time to apply to mercer for fall 2011. I will get the teas done in a couple of months, but im just wondering what you think about me taking the classes in january. will it be too late for me to apply for fall 2011?also what is cultural appreciation and general elective courses considered. thanks a lot

Thanks alot fawn.. I really do not know which other schools to try. GSU, CSU,KENNESAW is all i would consider but its really hard for me because each of those schools have different requirements that i have to meet. gsu is a 3 year program so i do not want to apply there, and csu i would have to take 4 more classes, and kennesaw also 4 more classes. i just do not know which ones i should apply to. do you know any other schools in ga that i can check out? I heard MCG is good but the location is far. Also do you go to Mercer now?

Can someone please tell me about the essasy, do i just hand it in after i typed it to the advisors whenever i am done.

I plan on taking the Teas before December 2010, depending which date i get. Im currently studying for it and also taking my last 2 classes (Nutrtion and Philosophy). My main concern is, i want to start the nursing program fall of 2011 I know i can start sooner but im planning to get married before fall 2011, so i can get the wedding planning and honeymoon out of the way before i start nursing school. I wanted to know when is the best time for me to start applying and sending my transcripts and as soon im done with my Teas i will be sending that also. I just dont know if its too soon for me to apply now, since i still have 2 more classes left and my Teas. Also i know the school is very expensive, but i wanted to know how i can go about getting scholorships. should i start apply for them now. Or should i wait to get accepted first. Also where do i go to apply? Im sorry for all the questions, im so confused and nervous because mercer is so competive. Also i would like to know what are some classes that are considered general elective, and what cultural apprication , can i take it at GPC? This is my bacKground: Human Anatomy=B Physiolgy=B Microbiology=C Eng1101=B Eng1102=C Stats=B Abnormal psyc=A Economics=C Human growth and development=B Religion=A Sociolgy=A Speech=B Philosophy= currently taking and will complete in December 2010. how long is mercers bsn program?

Hello everyone, I need some advice please, I am almost finished with my prereqs, and my grades in general chemistry1 was a D. So i re took it and got a C. I am so ****** off, because i feel like that class is imporatant for my entrance to nursing school. I do not want the admissions people to think i re took it and got a C. "What a dumb ass". Im just real nervous, however i still have general chem 2 left to take, and i am gonna work for an A. What do you guys think...Should i re take the General chemistry1, and try to get an A, or should i just move on to General chemistry 2 and make sure i get an A. By the way: Anatomy=B Microbiology=B Pysioology= taking spring quarter and all my other genreal prereqs i have mostly B's and some A's. Please let me know what you think, thanks

I think that they need to tell them that they can not get licesened anywhere until the 15 years is complete, if they really cared about there future they should have not made bad choices, and FL does not need to be sending those folks to GA, they need to tell them too bad.Wait for 15yrs

Hello everyone, I am really stressed out right now, because of my low grades. well an overview about me.... i am taking my prereqs now at a community college in columbus, ohio. I have taken all classes except Human physiology/pathophysiology/genreal chemistry 2/stats/nutrition. So since i want to apply to nursing school, im worried because its so competetive and my grades are not the best. i have a 3.2 gpa now. However my gpa will drop down soon because im taking microbiology/human anatomy this quarter, and i will have a B in micro and a C in Anatomy. So, im assuming that my gpa will go down.Here are my grades for the prereqs..... Human anatomy=C Microbiology=B General Chemistry 1=C Human Physiology= taking next quarter General Chemistry 2=taking next quarter College Algebra=B microeconomics=C Religion=A English comp 1=B English comp 2=C World lit=B History 1=B History 2=B Sociolgy=A Intro to pysc=B Human growth/development=B Public Speaking=B Political Science=B To all the nurses or students who have been accepted to nursing schools, do you guys think my grades are decent to get in, or not even close. By the way im applying to Georgia schools(Mercer university/Clayton State/Georgia State) ..also in ohio because i heard its so easy to get in(Wright state unvisity) If anyone is attending those schools, please let me know if my grades were similar to yours ,and if so do you think i can get in. im just so nervous, and feel like a big dumb ass with my low grades.please help a sistah out with some advice.

How is everything schduled, classes and clinicals? do you go in the morning or evening? and is it the same fore all nursing students? do you take the same classes with the same students/faculty? And how is clinical/ set up/timing/ duties/hours/benefits...etc? Please i would like your feedback, and appreciate your help.

I have a couple of more questions...i hope you dont mind... 1)If you took the Hesi how was it? 2)I meant with Mount Carmel, because of a good reputation, the students who graduate from thier get jobs ASAP, as oppose to WSU.For example,if i went to M.C and you went to WSU, and apply at the same postion for an RN at whoever is hiring, the person who graduated from M.C is most likely getting the job 1st because of the school reputation. Better academics, i know a degree is a degree, but each program empasizes different things, and i might have got a certain nursing class that you have not from WSU. this is just an example, i hope i didnt confuse you. so what do you think? 3) About the license....how does it work, cant i just work with having a degree or the point of the license is to get a job, and is it money, im kinda slow about this, so please break it down for me? 4) im getting married before i start the program, or in between, however if i get pregnant, and ofcourse must take days to deliver off of school, how does that work since im in a "PROGRAM"...will they drop me from the program, or just allow me to not come,,let me know the details,,,,pleaseeeeeeeee? 5) what is the NARC CLASS, and do i have to take it for WSU/M.C? please let me know,,,i appreciate your feedback...thnks

Hello Everyone I am currently attending Columbus State Community College in Oh ,and i am taking my pre-reqs now and will be done in june of 2010; and would like to know about the nursing schools in OH, because i just moved here from Georgia, and all i hear about is wating list. I am considering 2 schools: Mount Carmel, and Wright State. A mean i heard that Mount Carmel is expensive and hard to get into , however my main concern is, how good are both of those schools? I am looking for a school that is not as expensive, no wating list, no entrance exam( and if their is one how hard is it), no exit exam like the HESI, ( and if their is how hard is it)? I want a school that has a good reputation and that i will get a job quicker, and i heard Mount Carmel students get jobs faster, Is that true? Also how long are thier programs, i want to go for my BSN so which program is shorter. How is the staff at both schools? Whats the NARC class all about , do I have to take it and for what, alot of CSCC students talk about that class.By the way after i graduate from the school of my choice i might move back to GA, so what steps do i take to get a job their, because my license will be in the state of OH. Can i just apply to hospitals in GA or would i have to be certified in the state. Does the ceterfication in one state apply to all? Oh wow i asked so many questions, i hope i didnt confuse you all,Please HELP. Thanks in Advance...

Hello everyone, i wanted to know what are the different types of nurses and duties. for example LPN/RN/CNA,ETC..... how are these different, there levels,which one makes more money, and there duties please. Because i always thought RN was higher, is that true,, and who are the nurses that pretty much do the clean up boo boo jobs after pateients. what are they called? Thanks , please let me know

Well the teas and all the rest is a entrance exam, their is also an exit exam required after you finsh the program, however before you can graduate is where an exam called the HESI must be taken in order to get a BSN/ and even sit for the NCLEX exam. my freind went to clayton and said when she was about to graduate the nursing students were told they must take the "HESI" before they can graduate, all the students were like,,ummmm,,, how come we were never told about this exam, and the faculty just said well now you know, they were ******, they only had 1 week to study. well i called clayton, and they said they do have this "exit exam" and its called ati or some crap, my point is, does mercer have an exit exam,, i know they have the TEAS to get IN the program, but how about an EXIT. thanks yall,,
