I have no other information, signs, symptoms regarding the parathesis from the assessment. The nanda book has medical DX's in the front of the book with suggested nursing DX's. Did not have this one though. Thank you for your feedback. Makes sense.

Hello, I'm stuck with my care plan. Can anyone advise me on what a nursing diagnosis would be for parathesis of left arm? This is numbness and tingling on the arm due to CVA from one year ago. Is this one I just leave alone/ignore? I've been skimming the Nanda's and cannot find anything. Thank for any input.

Hello, I'm in my 40's and returned to school with a family. I'm not kidding here...those little spongy ear plugs work great for focusing when the kids are being loud. Also, leaving the house and going to a place like the library or even in the car helps with focusing. Good luck!!

Spring semesters are usually shortened. Instead of 16 weeks, they are usually 8 weeks. That would be like taking 44 credit hours in a regular semester. Yes, that is outrageous.

No, its not the 1950's.....just giving my opinion of "family first" way of life to someone who I take as a young Mom. Its my opinion and I'm allowed to give it here. And, if someone had to work because their husband didn't make enough to support his family while the Mom is home raising babies, well, they have to work and have someone co-raise the children with them. But that wasn't her question.

Well, being a stay at home mom to toddlers which is alot of work and a must to keep patience and give them all the love you have. I would not take on more than the CNA class. Especially if your husband works with overtime and is the bread winner right now. Your husband and your children need you to be 100% wife and mom and not stressed out about school. The CNA is not so difficult and I think you will probably be fine. Best wishes to you whatever you decide.

With that said, think of all of the healthcare positions today. Healthcare professionals of all kinds see the private parts of the patients. This is reality. I think your boyfriend was only thinking about losing you and not what you are doing.... being compassionate and caring for people. If you think about it now, can you understand where some of us are coming from? Especially if we are much older than you? Some people have been rude and I'm sorry for them too!

You are not comparing Apples to Apples here. You will be more educated as a MA. You will also have a wide variety of experience. The price you paid is typical what it costs in my state. Education is never a waste.

Someone has to take care of the elderly...you know that you will most likely only be eligible for work at a LTC facility (nursing home) right..most hospitals want at least 6 months experience? You are following your calling. You will know if this is for you or not. Best wishes to you.

In my state you have one year to take the State Exam. So, you can take the course and take the exam when you are not so busy...less stress for you. You will have to keep up with practicing your skills. As a successful student, I sure you know how to keep up on things. If you can handle your homework for your other classes, then you will probably be ok. I would check with another student and/or instructor about the CNA class. Some seem to be quite easy...simple common sense stuff but you have alot to remember for your test. Other classes may be more ridgid. Mine is not. Good luck!
