  1. I have a few questions, and I can't seem to find some answers I understand... I'll be entering the military as a 68W for the next four years, but when I come out I want to go back to school and get my BSN(And reenter as a M6). Can you go to a school with no prior experience and get on a plan to get your BSN, or do you need to go to another school first and get your ADN? That actually leads me to another question which is... I know the 68W training will carry over as college credit hours, but what exactly does that mean in terms of a degree? Are degrees based on college credit hours and not specific classes, or is it a combination of the two? Do you get a degree automatically after completing x amount of classes? Does that amount differ from school to school? Blah I feel so stupid when it comes to all of this...
  2. Right now I've started taking classes at a local CC, so I may get into their Nursing Program. I was wondering if it would look better on paper for me to become a CNA A.S.A.P. while taking classes. 1) Because I need a job, and 2) I figure past employment as a CNA looks better than fast food worker, to my future employers.
  3. There's a nation wide shortage of nurses, and odds are it's only going to increase. Finding work probably won't be a problem, especially if your university helps with career placement after graduation. Here's an article I found online: http://www.discovernursing.com/job-opportunities I'd recommend getting your Associates degree in nursing, then find an employer that will pay for your continued education to get your Bachelor's degree.
