  1. Maybe they have become faster at their process, but when I received my letter (two years ago) it was the 2nd week in November.
  2. Keep looking at the hospital websites for postings for externs/partners/apprentices. I am a Nurse Apprentice and I applied in November and started working in January, so you could try to do that your last semester.
  3. Wow, you still don't have them? I wonder why they let people order until the 16th if they take so long to get in. Did you order them through the bookstore? I saw them on some website for a few bucks cheaper, but I don't know if we HAVE to order them through the bookstore or not. Did you get the long or short lab coat?
  4. muff81, have you ordered your scrubs yet? i haven't even had a chance to get my books yet. i kept trying before christmas break, but they didn't have them in. hopefully i can get over there this week to get them, if not i guess i will get them before or after orientation.
  5. Yes, thank you so much for answering our questions. You have been very helpful. Good luck on your finals!!!!
  6. Did you get to pick which hospital to do your clinicals? When I enrolled they told me that they have students at every hospital.
  7. I know this wasn't in your list you narrowed it down to, but we just moved to Piedmont, which is just a few miles north of Yukon. I grew up in Putnam City Schools, which was great while I was attending, but I wanted a better school district for my kids. Piedmont has excellent schools. To be in Piedmont school district, there are neighborhoods that are actually in NW Oklahoma City that send their kids to Piedmont. My brother's kids are in Bethany Schools, and they seem to like it, but I haven't really heard much about the education.
  8. I have a question for those of you who were accepted for the Spring or have been in the past semesters. Since the classes are at night, are the clinicals during the days or when do you do them? Is everything at night and on the weekends or is there anything during the day M-F?
  9. crysinokc, where have you done your clinicals so far?
  10. That is awesome you don't have to work! I also have 3 little ones, all under the age of 3 so hopefully I can balance my time well. I guess we will get to meet in about a month or so
  11. muff81, do you have other classes you still need to take or will the nursing course be your only one? are you working too? have you decided what you are going to do on the textbooks?
  12. I went to enroll on Wednesday and I got in the Tuesday lab. They told me that was a good choice because the Wednesday lab always lasts longer. Has anybody else enrolled yet?
  13. Congrats to both of you!! I understand destin05, I have a lot of concerns myself. I don't know anybody who has gone through OSU-OKC's program, but I have heard good things about it. Hopefully someone will get on here and let us know a little bit about the program. At least we have a few weeks to ultimately decide. However, I don't want to wait any longer to start pursuing my nursing career and feel pretty good about the program.
  14. I just got my acceptance letter today! I'm so excited, but nervous and worried at the same time. Now I have to quit my current job and figure out a way to still pay my mortgage. Anyway...has anyone else got theirs yet??
