How many questions on ATI Fundamentals Test
I just took my first ATI exam last week on Wednesday for foundations...I was super nervous, but I read through the book through the first 12-14 chapters and did the practice exams twice each & I scored an 83.3% We were only required to score a level 1 to move forward to medsurg, but a lot of students still didn't get that for some reason. Foundations exam did have a broad spectrum of info, but I didn't think it was too far out there considering what we've learned. Good luck!!

CNA while in nursing school?
You should get your CNA sooner than later. I got my CNA before nursing school to make sure that I really wanted to get into nursing as a career and it has helped me a lot. I will be starting clinicals this semester spring 2010 and will probably be ahead of the other nursing students who don't have any clinical experience dealing with patients or working in a health care setting. Good luck!!

CNA's: What's your favorite shift?
The hospital I used to work at had 8 and 12 hour shifts. I always used to like working the 3p-11p shift because it went by quickly, but was slightly more relaxed than the 7a-3p shift. I'm also not much of a morning person, so the evening shift was better for me. I recently got hired at another hospital where they only have 12 hour shifts so I will be working either 7a-7p or 7p-7a. I start my first week on the floor this coming Monday doing a 7p-7a so I'm hoping for the best!!

New RN Student
Hey everyone! I have just completed my first semester in a BSN program! I now have all my pre-reqs completed so as of next semester I will only have to take nursing classes. The professors at my college give us a list of objectives for each chapter, which I have studied as a guide. Studying the objectives or outline helped me VERY much! The first 2 exams I took I was getting 76% on and couldn't figure out why, but as soon as I began studying the objectives instead of only reading the chapters my grades on exams went up to As and Bs! Also, my school considers a 92-100 an A so I have to work a little harder for that A! Good luck to everyone!!
