  1. I too failed the second time on Feb 5. I am sad, but I am already on it. I purchased the NCBSN 5 week program for $70. It helped alot when I first took my PN. I am going to tudy my butt off and try again. Saunders did not help me much, the book itself for me was too overwhelming. But stay strong we will nail it the third time.
  2. I too am going through eligibility issues with the board and is approaching my 6 months in May. Yes you want to report your Juvi record even if it sealed. The background chdeck they do pulls everything, even sealed records. And yes it is taking close to six months to hear from the board. My advice, disclose everything and let them decide if it is worth reporting or not. Alot of us applicants are getting the boot because we don't report charges we think is minor. My case is pending and I self report in August and I still havent had the final recommendation yet.
  3. Anyone understand this phase... I called the board of nursing today and was told my recommendation was sent to the Director to make her recommendations then it is sent to the legal department so they can make their recommendations and after that they will send the information back to the investigator and she will type up the recommendation and send me the info. My question is when do I start calculating the 4-6 weeks, is it from the time the recommendation was sent to the director or after they make a decision and whatever the agreed order is if they don't deny me? Does anyone know if the board even make decisions on pending cases, I am still not convicted of this charge, the case is still pending... Also if they are going to deny me, wouldn't they send me a letter already letting me know I'm denied or denial still go through all the processes? I'm sorry I have so much questions, just confused and depressed. If someone could please reply to me, I will greatly appreciate it. I'm new to Texas and I don't know anyone, it would really help to talk to someone regarding this. So depressed. Took me 10 years to earn my RN degree and now I can't touch it. My six months is May 27th.. Please someone reply to my questions if you have any idea what is going on... Thanks so much.
  4. I called the BON yesterday and was told that recommendations were sent to the Director on the 4th of March. I was also told this could take 4-6 weeks to receive a signature. I am a wreck, I'm scared, cannot sleep, don't know if the recommendations are to deny me my license or what. But I need to draw myself together :-( but it is so hard, I have been waiting since August of last year just to know if I will get my license or not. So depressed, just want to put a bag over my head and sleep.
  5. I'm very sorry to hear abt your situation. I too got transferred to enforcement and my file was transferred on the 27th. It is heart wrecking. I have prayed night and day abt this but there is nothing we can do but wait. My headache is a pending case, no arrest, no previous arrest and I was just told by my attorney that the case is gonna get dropped.because of lack of evidence against me. So if I had just shut up, I would have taken my exam. But I believed I still did the right thing. Anyway what I did is just get a job and wait. I will have my baby on April so I hope to hear something by then so I can start fresh. Keep me posted and I will do the same
  6. Hi, I know you posted this 2 years ago but I was wondering what was your outcome. Did you get your license? I am going through the same thing now. I took the Jurisprudence exam and passed, they recieved my affadavit and background check, I'm just waiting for them to review my declaratory order which takes up to 45 days. I'm waiting impatiently, needing some hope.
