Diversion Program and Employment
Jobs are almost impossible to find if you are in the BON program. I rec. securing a lawyer asap. Take it from someone whose life is now in turmoil because I did not get a lawyer in the beginning. It will be the BEST money you have ever spent. Good luck with everything!

I lost everything
I too feel all of your pain, and perhaps even more if possible. I was dismissed into the BON program in March of 2009. At that time my partner and I had a 9 Month old daughter, she is now 2.5 yrs old. I was making 100,000+ as well. My partner and I were used to doing and buying whatever we wanted, and I spoiled her with all kinds of gifts very frequently. My bad for being generous. I have not been able to find a job and have been on unemployment for the last year. I keep trying to find employment. The upside is I have been able to be home with our daughter. The downside is of course the money angle. I am trying to keep our home out of foreclosure thru my atty. It may happen if I can get some type of work soon. But, seems like my partner has been sneaking around cheating and also applying to find a mortgage of her own without telling me. All while I raise our daughter so she can run around after work and do as she pleases. I dont think I can make it without my little girl being with me. I did not legally adopt her, I started the process but it was so expensive! We never would have had my daughter were it not for my job at the time and my insurance coverage which covered most of the costs. This is consuming all of my being. I dont know what to do. All I think of is the day she walks out the door with my little girl.........how can my pain get any worse......but I know it will, minute by minute it does.

NCBON: Is this an Invasion of privacy ?
I am in the Pennsylvania program. They go on a case by case basis to determine if you must be observed or not. Fortunately for me I am unoserved, so far. But, this is ridiculous! I agree with sissykim, we need a union. There are so many instances where we get dumped on and noone defends us. I wish I could get out of this profession and make money doing something else. Almost everything that goes along with my nursing experience of 25 years has been a very negative experience and only defends the patient, never ever cares about or defends the nurse.

Help! Trouble finding a job with my license being on probation!!!!
I could not agree more! I am going thru a terrible time because I did not consult a lawyer w experience in this area before I signed those papers! Now because of this I am more than likiely losing my 7 year relationship, my home which I worked so hard for, filing bankruptcy, and well, my entire life is a horrible mess. All this because I did not consult a lawyer first! If I could say one thing to anyone potentiially going into the program it would be TALK TO A LAWYER FIRST!

VRP in PA
Dear Pranster, Thank you so much for your candid response. I appreciate all the info you have given me. This has been and still is one long difficult road for me and my family. WOW, u did 10 weeks inpatient rehab! WOW! thats a long time, but, if it helped you that is what is important! My case worker is not helpful or caring either, usually just mean and abrupt, and gives very little info., I recently applied for unemployment, and received it which seems crazy to me that an RN is getting unemployment, but I guess this is thwe way the system works. Yet, all I want to do is go to work. So, you were out of work about 4 1/2 months? I am going on 11 months now. I go to meetings and my prof support group, submit my paperwork as asked, and give urine specimens. Still nothing. Should I just call every day? I dont want to make them mad at me but I need to get back to work. I just sit here crying wondering how this all happened and why? Thanks again for all of your input.

VRP in PA
If anyone can help me with any info I would appreciate it. I have been out of work since 02/09 because I was falsely accused of something by my employer. They then gave me 1 option, call VRP or get fired. So, I called them, enrolled and now I am stuck in this vicious circle with them. I do everything they ask me but still here I sit at home with my child, about to lose our home. Can anyone give me any suggestions or help as to how to deal with this problem and get back to work? Thanks so much, I truly appreciate any help anyone can give me.
