  1. How are we all doing? Everyone surviving the first month???
  2. Sorry to hear that Plasma. I hope the Pharm test is alright....
  3. Anyone else find it funny that we can use the book on the first Pharm exam when he took away the book.....????
  4. I ordered mine off Tafford.com and paid less than 30 for a scrub shirt and pants.
  5. Thank you Anny!
  6. Thanks! Did she mention books, uniforms or stethoscope??
  7. Do we have to be CPR trained before clinicals begin? If so, what are the requirements?
  8. Did they mention at orientation what kind of stethoscope to get and what books are needed for the first semester of the weekend program?
  9. Which books do we need for Pharmacology and the other first semester classes? I missed orientation.
  10. Thanks All, I have been in contact with the college and they are going to have a meeting with all of the people who couldn't be there last night. I did manage to register from home, but I didn't know if there was a certain section I had to pick. I just picked one and I hope I got the right one.
  11. Hello All, I am in the Weekend nursing program and had to miss orientation last night due to my truck breaking down. It killed me to not be there. I am hoping some of you were there and wouldn't mind filling me in on the information I missed. Did they tell about uniforms needed, equipment, books, etc.?? Anything you could share would be great!!
  12. Does anyone know what book is used for Pharmacology in the weekend program?
  13. Congratulations! Don't worry about the Patho....you'll do fine.
  14. They will want a titer on you. The doctor will draw blood and test it for chicken pox immunity. They will want a copy of the lab report for the varicella titer.
  15. If you can't find the record the doctor can do a Varicella titer. I had one done for mumps, measles and chicken pox. I never had a mumps or chicken pox shot, but I had the mumps and chicken pox as a child so it showed up on a titer. You have to include the lab results of the titer with your immunization sheet.
  16. I'm in the Dallas program and will be at orientation on Dec. 9th. I already took pathophysiology and have the book if someone wants to buy it from me. It's a used copy of Pathophysiology by McCance. I think it's 5th edition. I'll bring it to the orientation if anyone wants to purchase it. It's $106 new; I'd like to get $50 for the used copy.
  17. I emailed asking about that and was told burgundy pants, white top, white shoes with TWU patches on the shirts. The burgundy color is sometimes called wine.
  18. I received my packet for the weekend program Saturday.
  19. Hey guys, I found this on the TWU website. Maybe this is what we need for the weekend program?? I emailed the college to find out for sure. I probably won't hear anything until Monday though.... All students in nursing are required to have been immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, tetorifice, diphtheria, hepatitis B and have annual TB skin testing. Proof of immunizations will be required at the time of admission to upper division nursing courses. Texas Woman's University does not require HIV testing of students; however, some clinical agencies with which the College of Nursing affiliates for student clinical experience may require such testing.
  20. Plasma and Childofgrace, I didn't have the immunization sheet in my weekend packet either. I'll bet it's the same for weekenders and regular program students. Did anyone out there get the immunization sheet and wouldn't mind sharing what's on it??? Thanks!
  21. Don't feel left out....we're all in this together.
  22. In the portal.
  23. Congratulations!
  24. Goopsy, Do you know which one you'll go to yet, UTA or TWU?
  25. I checked mine today and it was updated after I returned my acceptance for the weekend program.
