Between TWU and UT, which would you chose? I'm trying to make that very decision right now and it's really really tough. Any advice you can give me would be helpful, seeing as I'm sure you interacted with nursing students from both schools. Thanks!!

Do you know of any differences between twu and ut houston's clinicals?

I wouldn't worry about that, if you got the email, you're in!

I want to see UT Houston's facilities more. I wonder if they would let me come look around? Was the technology in the simulation labs as good as at TWU? They had dummies that could talk and breathe, etc.

I feel like they are both extremely well respected nursing schools. So far, I've had better experiences with the people at TWU, so my gut reaction is to say TWU. But then again, I havent really had the chance to see the facilities at UT Houston, so I'd like to be able to do that. I wish there were a bunch of current students I could get together and ask questions from both schools. This is tough!

Did she give you any idea as to when they'll finish? For example, if our status doesn't change by, say 5pm, should we still have any hope?

Ali523 and am014 - I am in the same boat as y'all concerning the TWU/UTHSCH decision. What are your thoughts on comparing the two programs? Do you think one is better than another and why? The only real big difference that I have noticed is the 4 continuous semesters at UTHSCH vs. no summer classes at TWU. The W/S/S program mentioned above also sounds very interesting. I was hoping to do something like that during the summers, if I attend TWU, do either of you have any information on a TWU program? One of the advisors at the TWU open house told me that you can opt to take the online electives during the summer months in order to lighten the course load during the regular semesters. This sounds like a great option to me. Also, I have heard that many of the hospitals in the med center offer job placements for nursing students who have atleast 1 semester of upper-division nursing education completed. Therefore, I think we would qualify for these positions after our first spring semester. The extra money and experience seems like a great option to me. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks!

Hi guys! I got accepted! However I was also accepted to TWU-Houston, and so I am going to go there! It was my first choice so I'm very pleased! Hopefully this will bump someone up that is on the waitlist!! Good luck to you all!

I GOT IN!! yayyy :) Houston Campus!! I also got into UTHSCSA and I am waiting to hear from UTHSCH and A&M, but TWU is my first choice, so I'm going to accept the offer! I loved the facilities and everyone I have talked to at the open houses and tours. Has anything been planned as far as a get-together for the Houston class? Can't wait to meet you all! :)

Do you think that they sent acceptance emails to everyone, or just the Dallas applicants?
