  1. My fingers are crossed for you! You're probably correct, since school is on spring break right now you may not hear anything until next week or so. :up:Good Luck!
  2. Hey guys and gals, who is excited to start this month! Orientation at Saint Luke's is next week already eek! :)
  3. Awesome, congratulations!! Now you don't have to worry about a time crunch to finish the orientation tasks you'll be right on time!:)
  4. There is an online orientation class that you become enrolled in whenever you get accepted. It has a bunch of different things to do (mainly online documents, etc). There is also a background check to do but it's all on the online course. The first day of my classes is August 20th. I'm not sure if everyone has the same schedule or not.
  5. Good luck ! #3 is so close! And there are still 3 months left of summer
  6. Hey everyone, is anyone most certainly attending saint Luke's this fall??!:)
  7. Stethoscope: "Just listen to your heart, that's what I would do."
  8. I feel like you're the only one who knows what's in my heart!
  9. I was recently accepted at Saint Luke's college in KC. I am a second degree seeking student as well and their program is only two years (similar to UMKCs accelerated program). Still waiting to hear from UMKCs ABSN program but looking forward to hearing back next month. I would like to gain more insight to their program as well!
  10. I am awaiting a reply from UMKC's accelerated program as well, as the cost of schooling is an important and unavoidable factor for me. You can find your UMKC schedule online through the self-service icon (one of the logins they sent via email). Our schedules are automatically assigned this fall. I believe the online orientation course has more info :)
  11. Hey guys, I have received pretty much all of the information from Saint Luke's to start this fall (except for a book/supplies list). I also now know my class schedule for the fall. Anyone else attending and know their schedule??
  12. Hey degratrj! Thank you for your information. I tried to call the registration office last week and received no answer, therefore I had left a message but no response yet. I will try calling again on Monday :). My laptop is outdated and the course software is not compatible with the OS operating system that I have. So I am stuck between buying a new laptop or updating my current one (which is a 2008). Does Saint Luke's offer any student discounts/scholarships for laptops? Thank you!
  13. hey everyone! I will be a new student starting in fall 2014. I have received my email that contains instructions on orientation and whatnot. But I was curious are we allowed to register for classes before meeting our advisor on the orientation day? I tried to register for courses this morning and had them in my schedule, but now when I pull it up it is empty with 0 courses in it.
  14. I haven't received any extra information other than paying the deposit either. Im hoping they send something out soon because I am attempting to plan for August!
  15. Thank you for the info! So far do you enjoy the program and are you happy that you chose Saint Lukes?
  16. Has anyone been accepted to Saint Luke's for fall 2014 and has decided to attend??
  17. I have received a letter from KU and the paperwork from Saint Luke's, but nothing from MNU yet. I agree RachelHarvey, calling never hurts :)
  18. Hello everyone! Congratulations on attending Saint Luke's. I applied for the fall 2014 semester and received a call yesterday stating that I was accepted, YAY! I have yet to receive all of the paperwork, they said it would arrive mid-next week. I am honestly VERY excited to have gotten accepted and currently basking in the joy of finally starting nursing school in the fall. However, I am also a second-degree seeking student therefore I am positive that I will only receive federal aid in the form of loans (which I have a lot of from my first degree). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to afford tuition with minimal loans? Scholarships? Is anyone able to work and attend school? Renting texts for the first term, or buying from previous students? Thank you all, and I hope your classes are starting off well.
  19. Oh, I know how that feels. I am sure you will hear from them soon! Keep your head up the waiting is the hardest part. I am nervous about financial aid and fear of not receiving any scholarships, etc. I have a previous bachelor's degree so I am well aware that I will not be getting federal assistance, other than loans. eek I have enough of those already!
  20. Hey Stkn, no to the email. They called today, and also stated that they are mailing out paperwork that should arrive by mid next week. He did give me a deadline for when the deposit down is due about a week after. I'm sure the packet will contain greater detail. Thank you! Have you applied anywhere?
  21. Just got a call from Saint Luke's stating I was accepted there for fall 2014!! yay!!
  22. Good Afternoon! No I have not heard any news yet. What about you??
  23. Hi everyone! I was just curious as to how everyone was able to afford the tuition? I have a previous bachelor's degree so as a "second degree seeking student" it is difficult to find scholarships/grants, etc. ANY advice would help thank you very much!
