Hi just wondering if you could share the name of the school? I'm working as an RN in Washington and need to complete OB as my Australian degree didn't cover it in enough depth for California. My email is [email protected]

California board requires obstetric hours. Where can I sit a short course?
Hi All, i am an Australian RN with a bachelors degree. I've held a license in Canada which is currently expired and I also hold a license in New York and a license in Washington state ( where I am currently practicing). Ive been offered a job in Californka pending my license being approved. Because I did my schooling in Austrlaia I had to complete the international verification breakdown of educational requirements form. I meet all the requirements except obstetrics Theory and hours. Does ra anyone know where I can go to complete these requirements? Either in California or Washington state? Has anyone got any experience dealing with this and how did you find the information? Any my help would be greatly appreciated.

Nursing US with Australian Registration
I have qualified in Australia and have since worked for one year. I want to try and work in New York and have just started to look into the process. My understanding is I have to apply to the New York board then apply for CGFNS to have my degree certified then I will get an oppurtunity to apply to sit the NCLEX. I want to know if this is the correct order to proceed. 1. Do I need to apply for Visa before i begin this process or can i wait until i know my course would be certified? 2. Once i have the oppurtunity to apply for NCLEX how long do i have to sit the test before the time line expires? 3. I have noticed that there seems to be a special visa for australian nurse called the E3 visa, is this visa affected by the retrogression? (I have dual citizenship with the UK, are there special considerations for UK citisens?) 4. Are there even any jobs going in the US at the moment??? It would be much appreciated if anyone could help me or give me advice. Im hoping to move by about April 2010. cheers lana
