Nurse1202 Was your program at Stark State 4 years? I do not know anyone that has gone there. I know a couple of girls who are attending Kent-Stark branch. They have more chemistry to do than we did. How was your classes? Were the professors helpful?

For the work that all of you nurses do, you are underpaid. They told us though in nursing school, you aren't going to get paid big bucks to work. I'm not expecting 'big bucks' but I think the nurses should be paid a decent wage. We'll see how things change when I get out of school in 3 years! :kiss A big hug to all of the awesome nurses out there!

Hi Nurse1202, Thank you for the input. I am finding out from friends that are in nursing (already there and nurses to be) some interesting facts. I guess many hospitals make the pay look good, but the atmosphere, etc. is less than desirable! Have a great day!

When they looked at my high school transcripts they told me I did not have to take a math class there. I graduated High School in 76! We have to take A&P, Microbiology, and 1 chemistry course. 2 psych, 2 philosophy, 2 english comp, plus a bunch of gen ed requirements.

Hi djswan, I attend Malone College in Canton. As of now (soph.nursing) we are not required to take a statistics course. They say that may change though.

I can honestly say that all of the professors, teachers, etc. at the college I attend are very professional and helpful. Of course I attend a small Christian College. It is not that much more expensive to attend this school instead of a state college. I do not know what your schooling options are out there, but I wish you all the best with your instructors.

What an exciting post. As a nursing student, you have opened my eyes to what happens!

I had an encounter right after I had graduated from high school. A guy I went to school with was killed in a train/car accident. I had called my best friend early that morning after my vision and said the weirdest thing just happened. I proceeded to tell her what I had seen detail by detail up to the exact color and kind of car he was driving. It wasn't 10 minutes after I had talked to her she called back and told me Rick had died in a car/train accident and everything I had described actually happened.

I know it helps hearing from other people, but you need to do what is best for YOU.

You are all in my prayers. Go in with a positive attitude that you are going to do the best you can. It sounds like all of you have prepared to the best of your abilities. Stay Focused!
