  1. Hey Group, Have you guys had any experience working with post cardiac arrest hypothermia as an intervention, either in the ER or ICU. I have been reading about it because we plan on implementing it at my hospital. Any input. Joe
  2. I was a Navy Corpsman and have always found that having that in resume has helped me. As a hiring agent I tend to lean towards the ex-military, even the AirForce, because I know the structured mind set. I also like the committment to team work that is part of the personality.
  3. Room, Having been in nursing from staff nurse through to Unit Director, I have found that working in a female dominated proffesion has chllenges not usually found in other occupations. There are certain amount of behavior not usually found with male dominated proffesion. For instance in the ER I have an "A" team which consists of five males and one female. The "B" team is mostly females and usually has more drama involved. There is much more complaining and bickering amongst the staff. The in-fighting is far more devious and detrimental to the morale of the unit as a whole.
  4. It is possible. I worked full time and had a family of three children. It is a matter of wanting it.
