  1. Good Afternoon!! I was hoping someone could help me I am currently in nursing school and took a nurse assistant course and got my certificate however I am not certified until I take the test from NJ but I have no idea how to get that information :( I wanted to work as a CNA before graduation so I can get my foot in the door, Thank you!!
  2. Does anyone think that in two years it will be better to look for a job as an RN?? I am going into school second time around and am thinking of moving to PA after I graduate since my sister lives in Gulph Mills with my little nephew. I hear all the horror stories but plan on being very proactive by trying to get a job at a hospital in my last year of school. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions???? Thanks!!!
  3. That's alot of classes good luck!!! I am also starting in the fall - Nursing 110 Life Span Start Date Aug 26th. Can't wait ::)))
  4. Hi! I wanted to let you know that I too had failed in my first semester at school. I had past Chemistry and Pharm but got a 78 on the nursing course. My problem was test anxiety and over studying. I was devasted at first and then licked my wounds and applied to every school possible near my house 5 to be exact. I failed in Dec and by March was accepted into Christ Hospital School of nursing. Never give up on something you love doing!!! I have talked to alot of people and have gotten excellent tips to overcome testing anxiety and was able to bring those skills with me as I passed the NLN. I try not to let anything negative get me down everyone is talking about not getting jobs but for me I will cross that road when I get there. I love being in school and the second time around I am excited not ashamed that I failed but thankful and grateful for a second chance!! Michelle
  5. You should call Mountainside and speak to Mrs Lindenmann and ask her what you need to do to apply at Caldwell College. But it is a four year program not a two year but they are being very generous with taking credits from other schools. Let me know how it goes please, Thanks!
  6. You can still apply at Caldwell College and I am pretty sure they haven't even had a chance to get a waiting list going I would apply right away!!! Hope that helps.
  7. I really hate to be the bearer of such horrible news - Mountainside School of Nursing has annouced that they are closing the school. Everyone is devasted! I jsut wanted to let those people know who were hoping to go to the school they are directing students to apply to Caldwell College however it is not the same program. Let me know if you need any more information. I am currently a student, Michelle
  8. Thanks for all the posts!!! I just joined on the advice given to me by a senior at school and I am soo glad I did. I also am doing my clinicals at Overlook and actually am in the same class as the other student who posted :). I have heard that it should be a great experience and am really looking forward to it. Thanks again!!! Michelle
