  2. Hi everyone, I was in the whats app group but removed myself because I thought I didn't get in. Well...I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER!!!! I got it July 2nd!! I'm so happy. I got accepted into the Generic Part-Time Program
  3. I would like to be added 561-507-8268. Thank You.
  4. Hi. I took the HESI exam to get a feel of what is going to be on the test and it's not hard. What makes it difficult in my opinion is because A&P, Biology, and Chemistry only have but so much questions you can get wrong. Math is just like the book, study the book and you will do fine. For A&P, Chemistry, and Biology I would study the book and use outside sources as well. Alot of people on here recommends the HESI A2 pocket prep app and videos on youtube. You can try that.
  5. ****UPDATE*** Yes they have information sessions August 8, September 6 & 27, October 11, and November 1.
  6. I went online and the last information session I saw was July 19th. I would contact the advisor to confirm just in case they have not updated the dates.
  7. Thank you A&OxNone and I understand exactly what you are talking about. The ten years is a community college in Florida. I will do just that apply and see where it goes. Thanks for the advice
  8. Thank you not2bblue
  9. I guess I explained that incorrectly I did the prerequisites and received my AA degree. I have not yet completed a Nursing program.
  10. I'm confused on which route to take here is my dilemma: I graduated a community college with my Associates of Arts and nursing was my major, but that was in 2008. I know most schools will want, the most, your science class to be within 10 years of the application when applying. My 10 year will be next year for a few of them. I live in Florida but moving to Georgia summertime of 2016. I read some colleges in Georgia and they require for your classes to be within a certain time frame and to not have repeated any science classes more than two times, I repeated one twice and pass the third. So here are my options. 1) stay in Florida and try to apply for a nursing school by next year. 2) Move to Georgia and see if there is a school that doesn't have to 2 repeats requirement. 3) Go to a technical college in Georgia and go for my LPN then continue from there. 4) Go to Georgia wait the year for in state residency and take my necessary classes all over again and then apply for the nursing program. Any advice or direction will be helpful.
  11. Ok I understand why you took it that way. When I put the face next to thank you it didn't say that it meant being sarcastic nor did it look like a sarcastic face. Reading it on my phone I see that it says sarcastic. Sorry I just meant to put a smiling face next to Thank You and that was the first one I picked.
  12. I wasn't being sarcastic I was just Thanking You sorry you took it that way
  13. I'm more than sure you can because I live in Palm Beach county.
  14. Okay I sent you the email.
  15. Well I'm finish with all my pre-req classes. I wanted to do Aug' 2014 cause it's been too long for me and I need to start the program already but I'm not going to rush for August. If I turn in my application in time for me to get into Aug' than GREAT!!! if not I'm fine with Jan' 2015. What matters to me is to just get into the program and finish. I held onto my AA degree since 2008 and I need to stop being afraid and do it.
  16. I'm applying for North campus and it wasn't hard, in my opinion, I just didn't study every subject and only focused on a few areas. Email me [email protected] I will give you some study tips. Also I believe if they still have space, depending on when you want to take the exam, you still have a chance for August. That's what I read on the August 2014 threat.
  17. Me and you both @dridri23. I took the HESI but failed the A & P section so I have to re-take it. I wanted to study more before I took it again and was going to do it on Saturday the 21st but I called the lab and the HESI exam is closed for that day so I will have to take it the 28th.
  18. Hi everyone I am currently trying to get into a nursing program and interested in becoming a nurse informatics or clinical analyst. I love computers and nursing so I know this is the field for me. Im not sure what direction to take? Should I get my BSN or get my ASN and get my bachelors in something with computers? Or do I just need my Bachelors in computer science? Any advice would be very helpful.
  19. I was reading the Broward College August 2013 and found a website that might help before the first day of class. It's from North Campus and it is from last year Fall so some of the information most likely might've change but at least you will get an idea of what will be needed. Here is how you get to the link (not sure if I can copy and paste it on here). but search for "Broward College Math dosage calculations practice" and there should be a link for Nursing Process Math-Broward College.
  20. Hi Everyone, I have been watching the threads about Nursing for some time now. I graduated from Broward College (back then it was BCC) with my AA Degree. I finally made up my mind to stop being afraid and do it. I see that a lot of people are turning in their applications in now. Can I turn in my application before doing the HESI exam or my CPR certification? I take the exam on May 30th and I am doing the CPR class early next month. Please any help or advice will help.
