Yah...you're right Silverdragon! I really dont recommend Cali for initial licensure. If only I knew that before I applied for this Nclex...I will never opt for Cali. Well, regarding the transfer to another state...I have written to Vermont and they said I can download the NCLEX Pass endorsement application form (International Nurse)from their website. And it requires Credential Evaluation (CES report) from CGFNS that cost around 300 US dollars. That's the reason why the agency adviced me to do it at later time. They adviced me to prioritize the Visa Screen so that once I will be transferring to another state all I have to do is supply to the state a copy or reference number of my visa screen certificate and that means I dont have to incur another expenses.

Hi! When I received my nclex pass letter from CALI BON, I became worried about the fact that they will destroy my files and that's where I repent a lot for not applying to other states..I believed it is totally unfair on the part of those who'd suffered so much just to hurdle this exam. I've tried to inquire from the BON and the reply was they will really destroy the file after 3 years unless you will plead for an extension and that you have to do it yearly thereafter...'am not sure but that's what the man told me in his e-mail. For my case...I just find an agency to help me with all matters concerning my application and that includes transferring to other state. My agency claimed that they have already gone through with this dilemna many times and they say that we will work on the transfer to other state once the expiration is near, maybe a year before my actual expiration date. Hope this sounds good to you. I suggest you also write to the board and inquire on this. Otherwise, look for a reputable agency to help you on this.

Ah..ok. .' just thought allnursing.com is a website designed to help nurses find answers to their questions because not all our questions are answered in the brn website. Hello silverdragon..thanks for clearing things up. So, because i still have 3 years to expire my cali papers and nclex, then, i might as well apply now for licensure in either vermont or new mexico. I dont wanna wait..this is quite a hassle to me...i really dont want to retake the exam. So, please correct me if i'm wrong with the process...1)apply for licensure on the state where i want to work. 2)request cali brn to forward my nclex result to the state where i want to transfer..is this right? Will i do this by just writing a plain letter address to cali brn or is there a form to be downloaded from where? Please help me!!!

YAH. You're right piquant..they're making us more confuse!!!when I read Suzanne's message in Retrogression Limbo..she was mentioning that you don't need to resit for the exam just do the re-application w/c means the papers but not the exam...Now, Silverdragon102 is telling another thing w/c is to retake the exam....Well, guys..hopefully we're getting the correct answers to ourquerries. So..which is which now? retake or not? PLEASE!! For those who have gone through same ordeal...please contribute but just be cautious to give me and piquant the right answer. Thanks!!!

Hello Silverdragon102...I just passed the NCLEX-RN Cali..friends told me to take ielts now and apply for visa screen. What purpose will it give me this time since it's retrogression? Isn't this is also expiring?

Hi Habla! I have read your comments.. Hope you can help me. My point is...I just received my Cali notification letter that I passed but no actual license until I have SSN. They mentioned in their letter that I must provide this w/in 3 years otherwise they will destroy and abandon my file. What does it mean? Am I to retake the NCLEX exam if I did not provide to them SSN? Hope you can give me suggestion...is it possible for me to transfer my application to Vermont or New Mexico this time? What will happen to my NCLEX result? Should I take it again if I'll apply in another State? You're right when you say why CALI? I never knew this is their way of isssuing license..

Thanks Silverdragon102 and Vince, I'm more relief than ever. I'm just worried because of this ongoing retrogression..I doubt if I can find an agency that can help me. Vince, can you recommend an agency where they will help me process my papers, likewise, give an advise regarding the steps to take? Another question...there's a portion in the notification letter that says they will abandon and destroy our file. Do you think we have to retake the nclex after 3 years? finally, did you do some continuing education for Cali. because I heard for some states they do. Sorry for all these querries...Thanks a lot for having this site. I feel so grateful to have found you. More questions have been answered and it's a great relief!!!

Thank you silverdragon102....well, i'm very disappointed when i got the notification letter. Passing the nclex-rn exam is a matter of luck to me...i don't wanna take it again!! Did you have same experience? Do you have any recommendation what state that i can transfer my application? Sorry for asking too much....

Hi! I'm new with the allnurses.com i just received my notification letter from cali bon informing me that i have passed. And it's still the same scenario about requiring the ssn within a 3-year period. I just want to know straight from those members who have gone through with this case..do we have to retake the nclex exam again? Well, i'm worried because it's too much for me if i have to go through all over again. Application is not the problem but it's sitting for the exam that is worst!!
