  1. I just want to make sure this is the right decision i'm making. I know the job market is tough for everyone right now, even students with traditional RN degrees are having problems finding jobs. Did anyone in texas have a hard time finding a job because they were an excelsior grad. I know some places may look down on it... Any input is welcome!!
  2. yes i will be there on the 28th..hopefully I get in!
  3. Just wondering if anyone else applied for the spring 2010 start and will be attending the interviews on the 28th??
  4. Does anyone know any cna classes thats 3 weeks long in houston, TX
  5. I agree with the previous post it depends on the person..I'm very tall so Cherokee works the best for me because I need length and the color doesn't fade as much as some other brands like urbane and baby phat
  6. You need to contact the schools your interested in applying to about transferring credits. Every school has different requirements and some are more strict than others. Just a heads up, houston is VERY competitive when it comes to nursing school especially UT and TWU. I suggest branching to other schools, because I know many ppl that had a 4.0 and were rejected. I'm not trying to scare you, its just a warning
  7. yeah u should, buy the time to get ur RN, this hiring freeze SHOULD be over..
  8. I live in houston right now but plan to move to corpus eventually if I get in. I see you are about to graduate, how long did it take u to complete the program?
  9. THanks guys for answering my questions. I think I'm going to order my books while I wait to be accepted and start reading something. Hopefully, I get in with a 3.5. I heard it wasn't that competitive so hopefully that will be enough.
  10. yikes! how long have you been in the program? I want to finish in atleast 2yrs. I don't plan on working and I don't have any kids. I just don't want to sit in any more lectures and I plan on traveling alot more next year, so i felt it would be more convenient. I'm starting to be skeptical about the program. Do you guys have to take HESI exams or do you guys use something else.?
  11. Well, maybe you need to read and take notes at the same time. I know I need to be physically doing something in order to retain anything from a book. So I either read and type notes or write extra notes down while a read. Also, u should try taking some B vitamins for more energy
  12. hi, im new to this forum and wondering if anyone is applying for spring 2010? Also, can anyone share there experience in the program. Would u recommend going here or not? Are the teachers helpful in wanting you to succeed. I don't want to go somewhere where everyone is out to get you.
