  1. to the above posting: This sounds like great news!! Is this something that we will just keep our eyes open for by checking hospital websites or is their a way to apply for a chance to be a part of the 250 new grad nurses looking for work?? Its about time we hear some awesome news like this!! Thanks to CINHC!
  2. Job hunt continues daily..found this one..didn't fit my qualifications maybe it fits one of you. https://careers.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/psc/extapp/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/ROLE_APPLICANT.ER_VIEW_JOBS.GBL Continue to send you all luck...
  3. Got a rejection email. So much for "I have a good feeling about this one!"
  4. Rejected! So much for "I have a good feeling about this one!" Blah!
  5. Also applied for the new grad position this spring. Same info on my app. "fowarded to manager" Really, Really, Really want this position. Good Luck. Keep you guys updated...just curious any nurses here have LVN experience, BSN? 7 months now looking for work!!! Never thought it would be this hard.
  6. hello all! our job hunt continues, going on 7 months for me in feb. did anyone apply for the rn/new grad position at washington hosp. in fremont, starting this spring? if so have any of you heard back? i also applied for the new grad rn med/surg position at valley med, even with three years lvn experience still have yet to hear from them..called them to check my app status and no response, left a message, no call back. i have applied for soooo many positions since july and still no lead! trying hard to stay motivated and in good spirits, some days are better than others. i continue to wish you all luck with your job hunt and thank you all for the advise and info posted here. one more thing, for those who have not yet recived this link, http://www.canursingresource.com/index.php, its very helpful when im job hunting (everyday!) kudos and much thanks to kim the creator of the site!! -lupe
  7. I was excited for 1 minute up until I saw only BSN and Masters accepted. Good luck to the rest of you.
  8. This gives me some hope! Thanks for the info. Ironically today I started a temp position in Kaiser as an LVN (which Ive been prior to getting my RN) and two out of the three nurses I worked with were over 50 and one of them was retiring tomorrow! ...
  9. I also applied for this position, the first day it was posted, before it was posted on here and Ive yet to hear from them.
  10. Thanks! I think that some people failed to read your "warning" messages. I was quite sad to hear it was closed yesterday. Thanks again, this thread really is helping us new grads searching for job opportunities out there!
  11. I feel YOU! I graduated myself recently and still no luck..i thought moving away from all my contracted nurses area would be an advantage...I just moved to San Jose and no luck since JULY 10th, not even one interview. Moving can be an option, but it should be the last resort, I feel it might be the same everywhere...one human resources said that there are very little jobs for new grads right now, but some in Fresno and Bakersfield, but who wants to live there!? I wish you the best of luck and know that your not alone in this journey. Hang in there!
  12. So I browsed through the net during my job search and I ran into this blog..and HAD to become a member. I FEEL THE PAIN!! I moved to San Jose this summer, I graduated this June from an ADN program in Southern California, I have passed my boards and as excited as I am to be an RN I am more excited to WORK! I did the bridge program, worked as an LVN for three years. I really thought that this would be and advantage when applying to work, but NO LUCK! I have applied to many positions from San Jose to San Francisco, not one call back since July10th only some sad denials via email. My goal is to start in a med surg unit where I gain some expereince and ultimatly work in the ICU. Although its a sad situation im kinda content that im not alone. I am here to beg the same question "Who's hiring right now?"
