  1. Thanks 8pack - glad to hear TEAS went well. Did you study much? Hope orientation is going great as well! Can't wait to hear about it!
  2. Hi Guys, How did your orientation go? How was the TEAS? I hope all went well!! :) Newark orientation isn't until the end of this month, just curious how everything went.
  3. I won't be able to commit to the pre-nursing program. So, I will be taking the TEAS on the 2nd day of orientation on April 28th.
  4. Just wondering, which PDA device will everyone be using?
  5. I haven't received my package yet either! I'm waiting for it, I hope it comes soon. I do have another question - which PDA device will everyone be using?
  6. Hi guys, did anyone receive a letter in the mail regarding a pilot pre-nursing program called NALC that they are offering to incoming students. It's 3 weeks from 9-3 mid-April. Just wondering if anyone plans to participate as I'm not sure yet. Thanks!
  7. Has anyone taken the TEAs and BLS training yet? Just wondering how it was. Thanks!
  8. Hi Everyone, I received my acceptance letter last Tuesday on March 9th! So happy :) Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
  9. Hi, No, I applied to Newark. Why did they tell you to apply to Stratford as well?
  10. Hi Bus to Health, How are you? I am applying for May admission as well. Have you submitted your application yet or heard back? Thanks!
  11. Hello everyone - I need some advice, UMDNJ is my first choice for the ABSN program. I have to take the following pre-reqs: A&P 1 and 2 (w/ lab), Microbio (w/ lab), Chem (w/ lab), and Psych. I really want to apply to Summer 2010 semester. Would it be too much to take all these courses in one semester? I am afraid if I split the pre-reqs into Fall 2009 and Spring 2010, the end of the Spring 2010 will overlap with the beginning of Summer 2010 nursing program at UMDNJ, and I would have to wait until Fall 2010. Is there a way around this? I already have my BS in Bio, and I am finishing my MBA. So I am eager to get started since I have the time right now. I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions. Thank you!
  12. Hi patos231984, I have my BS in Bio. I will be getting my MBA this Fall. I am planning to get my BSN next year. I am just wondering how everything went for you? Any insights to share with me as I start? I just wanted to know what job opportunities is there for a MBA/BSN.
  13. Hello, I actually will be getting my MBA this Fall. I recently started to look into the ABSN program. I was thinking to take pre-reqs this fall and spring to start nursing school next spring/summer. Ultimately I want to go into healthcare administration and figure clinical experience would be helpful. I was wondering what job opportunities would be available to someone holding both degrees. And also if anyone has gone onto pursue their BSN after MBA, can you provide some insight on how nursing school went for you and how it has affected your career. I really would appreciate feedback!
  14. One more thing - I'm not sure if bedside care is for me. I plan to volunteer to experience it. How long would you think I would have to work as a RN before I could move into administration? I don't want my MBA to become useless...
  15. Hello. I will be getting my MBA this Fall, just one more class to go to graduate. I am considering to get my BSN too. I would take pre-reqs this Fall for spring admission into nursing school. Ultimately I want to go into healthcare administration and I feel I need clinical experience to do this. I feel like I am getting my degrees backwards as you all have your nursing degree already. I was working in the pharma industry as a manager while I was going to business school. I stopped working to attend school full time. I know I like management, but I want more patient connection. Now instead of looking for another job, I am thinking to get my BSN. In addition, all the jobs that I am interested in require a nursing degree. Unless I find a position where I work myself up. I feel BSN may open more opportunities for me. I would appreciate any thoughts or advice?
