I'm just studying at the moment so i'm not technically a nurse yet, and so haven't seen the bad yet as such but I have started my work experience this week in a nursing home and have found lots of positives. In the few days i've been working there i've had so many laughs with the residents and heard so many interesting stories. Although some are more lucid than others, of course, even the least lucid of them are fun to speak with if you just give them some time. I've also got my first taste of the simple sense of fulfillment that you get when you know that you've managed to make someones day that bit better than it might have been otherwise. Like I said i'm only at the start of my nursing career but right now i'm feeling positive and excited about my choice to try nursing on for size! Cheers for the stories from the rest of the board by the way, good and bad its all educational. -F
