Can someone let me know about the practicums? Do you need to find a clinical preceptor and how many hours are required?

I applied to the the SF campus for this fall and emailed M.M. was told notifications would be with in a couple weeks. I sure hope so!!

I talked to the admissions advisor a couple of days ago. They are actually NOT accredited by the CCNE yet. The link provided above is for programs that offer a doctoral program, not that are accredited. They are actually in the application process and thier site visit is set for October or November. http://www.aacn.nche.edu/CCNE/reports/rptNewApplicants.asp?state=CA&sFullName=California&sProgramType=3 According to the person I talked to they are very confident about the application and the dean has been through this process before successfully. I will probably still apply although I really dont want to take the GRE grrrr.

I am looking between the ACNP and the Gero specialty. Good to know they look at the whole application and not just the GRE. None of the other schools I applied to require it so I would have to study, schedule and take it I did take the AW part last year but didn't do that great (3.5) In my defense I only prepared one week and know I can do better knowing more about how its set up. I better talk to them and be sure before I take this test, I dont need additional stress in my life.

Hello everyone. I just started researching this school. My questions are for anyone who can answer them are: Is this program CCNE accredited? Do all BSN-DNP applicants have to take the GRE? I really dont want to:) Do they accept student on a rolling basis or do they wait until the deadline? I will be calling them soon if they dont send me the information I requested but am checking if anyone on here knows. THANKS

Which school or what program has contracts with VMC? I know SJSU had one but I though the last one was Dec 2008?? Have those 5 people already been inerviewed?

I have a very good friend, not a new grad, who was already offered a position in the critical care program. She said she went to fill out paperwork and there were 4 nurses there also going into the program. All expereinced, no new grads. Doesn't look good.
