  1. I would like to find out more information about the MSN education track from either university. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Thank you for the information. I had never heard of this school either. I noticed that in many of the online msn programs there is a practicum and capstone requirement. American Sentinel does not have a practicum but a capstone is part of the curriculum. I am still researching other schools and I haven't decided as of yet which one I will be attending.
  3. Has anyone have any information on American Sentinel University's nursing program?

Help, I am considering Chamberlain, Waldens and or Regis University for the RN-BSN online program. I wanted to know if there were exams, quizzes or community service that is a part of the curriculum? Do you have a paper to write every week and how many pages are required? Just have lots of questions. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  6. When our pts return from having a cesarean section would usually request an order for a scopalamine patch. The patch is great for post n/v.
  7. We start our own IV's in L/D and SCN. If we are unable to start an IV then the IV team will come up and start one. The lab will come up and draw all labs for L/D and SCN.
  8. Male doctors in LDRP where I work must have a female nurse accompany them when they do lady partsl exams. Which seems to be the norm at other hospitals that I have worked at also.

  10. I usually work (3) 12 hour shifts per week. I do not work (3) 12's in a row. Usually I work (2) 12 hour shifts with 2-4 days off then (1) 12 hours shift.
  11. I work 36 hours per week three 12 hour shifts from 630a-630p. We also take call because we have a closed unit. Which means that we cover our own call outs, vacations and etc.
  12. You go KrazyKev. Sometimes you have to go to the top to get things done. Especially after you went to the Dean on several occasions.
  13. I was 32yo when I started nursing school, 34yo when I graduated.
