Look forward to meeting my fellow classmates at orientation. It sure is reassuring to know there will be others @ my age! While getting my pre-reqs at TCC, everyone in my classes was so much younger. I went to the school the other day and talked with Karen to make sure she had received everything I mailed in so far. It's a 27 minute drive and I lost my favorite radio station on the way. I'm definitely going to have to fill up my Ipod.:monkeydance: Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for good "waking up at 5:30 am songs" (I'm a nightowl, so therefore NOT a morning person!)

I live in Azle right now, but may move closer to Weatherford when we sell our house this summer.

I only have one and this is my personal one. Because it's all you ever wanted to do, and you haven't been happy with any other job, even though the money was good. Because all you really want to do is take care of people that need your help because the compassion is there. I was a real estate agent and my husband still is and we pulled down over $100k in our good years, but I wasn't happy because it wasn't what I wanted to do. So, I quit my job and went back to school at 33 years old. Fortunately, my husband wants whatever makes me happy.

I would love to get a Chevy Camaro with the Corvette engine. I just got accepted, so we'll have to see on that one. We can't splurge too much 'cause my husband is starting radiology school when I'm in my last year. Probably, buy some land to start building our dream house on. Our $200K house is going on the market this summer to pay cash for a doublewide to live in while we're in school.

To those who got accepted as an alternate, keep your head up! I've kept track of the threads on Weatherford for 2 other application periods now, and many alternates get called to fill spaces. Some people apply to several different schools and choose to go somewhere else instead of Weatherford. Others don't fulfill the requirements, immunizations, background check, drug screen, etc. I would go ahead and go to orientation, and do everything else just like you got accepted, because you never know!

I'm hoping that my friend just got hers today because she lives close to the PO central hub off Mark VI Pkwy and that I'll get mine tomorrow. Sometimes my mail lady takes mail to the wrong house and some of my neighbors aren't as nice as I am about getting it to the correct recipient:uhoh3:

My friend that had 22 points got in, she got her packet today. I live right by Weatherford and didn't get a packet or letter or anything!! Does anyone know if mail runs tomorrow?!? I'm panicking right now.

You are definitely a brave woman!! One trip to San Antonio with 4 kids was enough for me and my hubby! We haven't taken a road trip since.

I think I'm giving myself an ulcer worrying over the acceptance packet! If I just knew what textbooks, shoes, scrubs etc. I needed I could preoccupy myself with finding that stuff. I just want to know!!!! The first time I talked to KL she said 22 pts was accepted for last semester. I don't know how many people applied last semester though because it is a nights/weekends program. I've been researching on here trying to see what fall semesters need to have for points. I'm driving myself crazy!!

I'm a pre-nursing student at TCC on the NW campus. I applied to Weatherford for the fall, waiting to hear if I got in. I have completed all pre-req's for Weatherford except A & P II and PE. I'm taking both right now with 3 classes towards my bachelor's. You can't beat summer classes. I thought if I got into the nursing program for the fall, I would take the summer off, but I can't pass up the chance to get 4 more classes towards my BSN out of the way!

I got my application turned in today after retaking the TEAS this afternoon. I wound up with 23 points. She said they would probably mail the letters out the week after spring break. I'm going to have a hard time being patient until then!!
