  1. I had a miserable experience with my first clinical instructor at the beginning of my nursing school first semester. I complained about her and tried to make some sense out of why I was being singled out and bullied. I had gone to my advisor and the head of the nursing dept. I didn't get anywhere. I was forced by this instructor to withdraw from the program with a W or face an F from her at the mid-term of this first semester. I was blindsided by this experience because I had never been psychologically tortured by a professor before. I had earned a Bachelor's and a Master's, previously. It was a very strange experience and has turned me off towards the profession.
  2. I wonder what the ACLU would do if they heard about this. We won''t let the elderly live or die with dignity in this country. Why is that? I am concerned because I will be getting my own AARP card in 5 years. Where are the Grey Panthers when we need them? If they are still around maybe I should join them. Rant rant rant. Seriously, I would certainly try to advocate for the residents. Even though this goes on everywhere, doesn't make it right. Good luck. Sue :angryfire
  3. I believe that the stress that you have at home is affeacting your ability to be a good nurse, especially since you are new. Definitely get into a new grad situtation where you are working with much more training. Also, you may want to rethink being so ambitious right out of the gate. When your marriage is on the rocks, your plate is already full. I believe that you should think about taking small bites career wise until your stress level goes down somewhat. By the way, what happened with the ultrasound career? Why is that completely sidelined? Is it possible to do that while you are waiting for the right nursing job to come your way? That way, you can be more selective. Best of luck. Sue

Hi! Please report this guy. Maybe you are mature enough to overcome the molestation, but his next victim may suffer more. I'll bet this guy has a rap sheet for molestation. Many women advertise for massage who are really prostitutes. This guy is the male version of the same thing. The cops typically will send an undercover cop and bust him. Massage as a ruse for sexual encounters is extremely common. The legitimate ones will be licensed by the state or town/city that they are in. Usually certified by the NCBMT and a member of a professional organization. Ask to see ther license and credentials next time. You will have better luck if you have someone refer you to a practitioner, instead of going to someone cold. If you don't know anyone, try a female therapist. By the way, reiki doesn't typically involve touch. It's energy work. Hope you get this guy out of circulation. Good luck. Sue
