Prisma Health in Greenville, SC
Hello! I am also curious about this hospital system as well as any others in the Greenville area. I'm planning to move to the Greenville area with my family in 2022. I'm wondering about the reputations of the hospitals there as well as pay range. I live in NJ and have a decent salary. I know the pay will be less there....just wondering how significant the difference will be. Any responses are appreciated!

Not Everyone is meant/wants to be a leader!
I totally agree with you, Wannabe. We all have different strengths and leadership is not one of mine. I am a very task oriented nurse. I realize my strength is serving/caring for others. I love my to do lists and feel good about giving the best patient care I possibly can. Some nurses have that gift and drive to lead and I say Great! But that's just not me. I strongly disagree that every nurse should be "forced" to be in charge. I've seen nurses actually cry when they have to be in charge. Perhaps if they offer a financial incentive to have nurses be in charge there wouldn't be such a push to have everyone do it. There's nothing wrong with wanting to punch out at the end of the day without additional stress.

Affordable, online RN-to-BSN programs without group work...
What about clinicals? I know some programs have no clinicals. I was looking into Aspen. Looks like a heavy clinical project at the end (website says 70-100 hours of community interaction required). Has anyone ever done Aspen? Other than this project, everything else about the rn-bsn program looked ok.

nursing homes
I recently registered with an agency and I'm thinking about taking nursing home assignments. I've never worked at a nursing home, however coming from a hectic hospital setting I figure it can't be much more difficult. A girlfriend of mine said that I don't need any prior nursing home experience, but I'm a little nervous about it. What's a typical day at a nursing home like? Any advise?
