  1. I went to Anaheim campus and some of my friends to L.A. campus
  2. Ah, I beg your pardon. Henceforth, there shall be no names or positions posted. But for anyone curious or would like to know more about experiences by a lot of students that I know, you can always PM me. :)
  3. You're welcome. I just don't want anyone else to go through what some of my classmates went through.
  4. if you can help it, why not go to a better private school? $60,000+ in 18 months? mt. saint mary has a better reputation and better clinical sites.
  5. I beg to disagree. One student had a death in the family and had one absent. She spoke with the instructor beforehand and the instructor agreed to give her a retake. When she came back, the instructor changed his mind and told her there will be no retakes. The Dean of Nursing, the school director, and Academic Dean all know of her circumstances and still did not give her the chance. She had to repeat one term. Another one, went to the hospital the night before but the director won't even look at her doctor's certificate. That was her only absence and still she wasn't shown compassion. Need I go on? Some select students were treated with utmost respect and given the royal treatment, but that was not extended to others... Sounds so much like discrimination, does it not?
  6. I'm a graduate of west coast university and I DO NOT recommend it. Everything's well and good during your prereq courses. Wait till you get to nursing program... they will get you there. And I'm not talking about their curriculum (it's not that hard) but the way they treat students. It's not uniform. Some are treated like queens while others ... inhuman. I was already on term 7 before I saw the ruthless and cutthroat side of WCU. There are other private schools out there. Mt. St. Mary, for one. Plus, after you graduate, the credits are not transferrable to most schools.
