  1. Thanks everyone!! I feel alot better now. I think I just truly had an off day at that time and was stressed. Luckily, the MD apologized for upsetting me and explained to me that it's nothing personal, it's only to improve communication and our skills. Of course, I knew that and next time, I definitely won't start any waterworks in front of a colleague. I also told him that the mistake won't happen again. Thanks everyone for your support, it's great to know that we are not alone and there's always another nurse who has been through what you've been through and we can have a shoulder to lean on and a wonderful website like this to vent on. :)
  2. A doctor lectured me today and got so upset with me over a misunderstanding and lack of communication for one of his patients. As he was lecturing me, I started to cry. I know I should be more tough and hold the tears for later... but I just couldn't help it. I felt so bad that I made a mistake and I got the doctor that angry. I felt so unprofessional and I can't help but wonder what that doctor or the 4 others that saw the whole situation thought about me. I'm a new grad and have been working for only 10 months. Was it really bad to look at and totally unprofessional? Thanks everyone for reading.
  3. Hi! I'm a new grad RN working in med-surg for 9 months now. I was told that JCAHO survey would be coming any time and I don't have a clue on how to get ready for that. I've picked up some bad habits at work as I know alot of nurses have, and I really don't want to screw up if JCAHO ever comes and follows me one day. I would love if anyone can tell me the basic things to know when JCAHO comes and maybe some common questions they might ask? Anything would be of great help, thank you so much!
  4. Thanks so much! I'll give my cousin a heads up =)
  5. Hi Everyone! I have a cousin in Philippines who really wants to come to California and work as a nurse. He already has his RN there, but needs my advice in the process of getting here to California to work. I read somewhere that he would need an h1b working visa and a facility willing to sponsor him. Am I supposed to be searching everywhere to find a facility to sponsor him right now? Is it true that California is putting a freeze on hiring foreign nurses? I need all the help I can get, thanks everyone! -Scorpio82
  6. Hi everyone! Can I use ATI RN review modules to study for the challenge exams instead of purchasing study guides on college network? Thank you!
  7. Thank you so much for your reply. I feel more encouraged now about that school. I previously went to a private school for my RN that cost a lot of money, but I wasn't able to finish because I failed 2 classes. I just don't want anything like that to happen again, especially when there's a lot of money involved. Any tips on how to study at WCU?
  8. Oh I have to make a quick decision because the longer I wait, the higher the tuition goes.
  9. Hello everyone! I am currently an LVN and I am seriously having a hard time choosing between an expensive private school that you can get into fast and more affordable community colleges but with long waiting lists for an lpn to rn bridge program. What is everyone's opinion? Do you think private schools are worth all the money or should I just get on waiting lists for 1-3 years and work while I'm waiting? I need to make a decision quick, so please help! Thank you! -Ms. Indecisive

  11. Hello! I'm not sure if I want to wait really long on waiting lists at community colleges, so I want to know, even though Westcoast University is expensive, is it still worth it join the lvn-adn program since there is no waiting list?
  12. Can someone please tell me what Suzanne's plan is for the nclex-pn? I cannot seem to access it through a link. I want to pass the second time! Please e-mail me, Thank you!
  13. Do you recommend any programs for me? Thank you!
  14. Hello! I have already taken the boards and did not pass. Is it a good idea to spend money on a program, for example Kaplan, to get ready for my next board exam? Thank you!
  15. Any recommendations on how I can study and what I can study to pass the nclex-lpn the second time?
