  1. At a more expensive and/or prestigious school do you: (1) Have teachers who don't follow through on what they say? (2) Have lab classes where chemicals are expired/outdated? (3) Have Skill Labs where you only pretend you're doing the skill because your dummies or SimMans don't work as they should? (4) Professors who are condescending? Whose final rebuttal to a discussion is "My Test...My answers" (not literally but it might as well be? (5) Where Professors say "You're Nurses, be flexible", but their motto seems to be "We're teachers...we're not"? I do like my classes and my program but somedays, with this being one, I get fed up with all the B.S. Ah....I feel much better now. Thanks all....good luck with your studies! Oh, and if anyone becomes a teacher, please remember what it was lick to be a student.
  2. Interesting. Our clinicals are pass/fail. While they're not part of the final grade, you do need to pass to move onto the next semester.
  3. I know just how you feel, got my grades yesterday. Congratulations to All! We're 1/2 way there.
  4. I've got my final on Tuesday. It counts for 35% of our total grade. But I'm taking my time studying, doing the online tests, and reviewing all my notes. If you do the same, we'll all finish up where we want to be --Moving on to the next semester. Good luck everyone.
  5. Understandable. Did you hear from CHNS by email/snail mail? Do you need an interview and to take the NET test? Did they give you any notice of timeframes for others to hear?.....Thanks a lot, and again Congrats!:)
  6. Kelly, I also submitted my application to Capital mid January and haven't heard a thing yet. Do you have a 'private' email I can use to send you some questions? Hopefully I'll be joining you in Sept. 2010. Congratulations!
  7. It's a great idea...that's why I'm doing it. I'm a 55 male, now taking my prereqs. I have a B.A. and a M.S., and need to do something different. It all goes well I'll start school in 2010 and be hitting the job market in 2012. Good Luck to you. Feel free to email me privately.
  8. Very strange experience. Totally online, had to show up on campus 3 times for tests in the testing lab. Now, I'm in my fifties, starting a career change so it was a challenge. If all goes well I'll apply to schools Jan 2010 and start with the Sept. class of 2010. I thought online would be easier - I think its harder. Bottom line - Just got a B and happy to have that. Next summer session it's A&P I...Mon - Thursday nights from 5:30 to 9/lecture and lab. Definitely will be upping my coffee - Works starts at 8 AM...get home at 9:30 PM. Bring it on...I'm ready.
