Thanks for the encouraging words. I too received low B's and 2 C's in my sciences and was beginning to feel down after reading a few of these post.

National University San Diego
Hi All, I just finished my prereqs for the BSN program. I plan on applying in April, currently studying for the TEAS. However I didn't do so great in the core classes, averaging to around B-C. My GPA is the min requirement, I'm just concerned with the likely hood of acceptance.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much financial aid I can receive?
Hi all, I was wondering if the financial aid that national university provides isn't enough what type of student loan can I get to cover the extra costs and where can I get this type of loan. I'm currently completing my prereqs at NU and the aid doesn't cover the entire tuition amount for my first year. Thanks!

National University San Diego
Hi all, After reading all the threads on National University, I've been able to get great insight as to how the program will be. I am still in the processes of completing my prereqs and still have a while to go. I was wondering if anyone can provide any info on the financial aid or direct loans. Unfortunately I wasn't able to qualify for grants and I've learned that the direct loan amount won't cover my whole tuition. Since I'm a first year student I will have to pay $2,100 on my own or through a private loan if I choose. My question is how have you guys manager to pay for tuition? Private loans? How many loans? I worry because I have poor credit. Thanks!

Questions regarding National University
Hi everyone, I am currently enrolled at National University and will be completing my pre-requisites for the BSN program. Then once all is completed I will be applying into the Nursing Program. I had a few questions regarding the University. I was wondering what is the difficulty level of the courses. I know they are 1-2 month long classes meaning they are fast paced. I also work fulltime, working 3 12 hour shifts a week. Any input of anyones experiences at the university would help. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, I was a bit confused hearing from various people that it mattered. But I always thought that it shouldn't make a difference. So ADN program here I come. I'm turning 21 and just want to finish school already! :plsebeg:

Grossmont Nursing Program (ADN) and Scripps Grant
I didn't know about these programs, but I'm glad I took my time to look into things and didn't end up going to Concorde or Maric which is what I had planned. Thanks!

Grossmont Nursing Program (ADN) and Scripps Grant
Hi I had a question regarding Grossmont College's ADN program and their Partnership with Scripps. I'm currently at CNA Scripps and heard about this partnership from a friend. I'm looking for a good program that won't cost me an arm and a leg, and this seems to be the perfect one besides the wait list that was told to be 4 years. But learning about this partnership will I have to wait the 4 years? Below are a few more questions. How does this partnership work? (process and qualifications) How long would I have to be on the wait list? What is the process of admission into the program? Any information would be great! THANKS!

Grossmont nursing program, san diego..what should I expect?
Hi I'm interested in applying for the program also and was just wondering how long were you on the wait list? Also I heard that they have a contract with Scripps and if you are an employee at Scripps then you have priority on the wait list? Is that right? I just don't know if I should go for my LVN now rather than wait to get accepted into the ADN program?

National University v.s Grossmont College in san diego
I wanted to ask the same question. I'm currently contemplating weather to purse my LVN first then do the step up to BSN, or go for the ADN program at Grossmont then do the step up to BSN after. I feel like it would be kinda of fast, I also work for Scripps Mercy Hospital and they have a contract with Grossmont college so if you are an applicant for the program and an employee at Scripps then you have priority on the wait list. So I've heard, So I don't know what I should do... Anyone have any insight ?

National University San Diego
I had an appointment yesterday with an advisor and the cost of the BSN program is $40,806. That is for the program itself, you have to get your prereqs done. Its suggested you take them at a jc, if you take them at the University it's very costly because each class runs for only 4 weeks. Each class or prereq taken is about $1,278.
