  1. Hi. I think that the orientation time for new grads suck in some places! I was at a facility where orientation was for 2 days for new grads for 40 patients! So, lets break this down...one nurse to 40 patients to give meds, do tx and assessments, talk to doctors, do paperwork, tend to family members, keep your aides in order, help with feeds and ect..
  2. Congrats!!! :balloons: I too just recently(last week) passed my NCLEX for LPN. I am also going into my last semester in August for my RN---- a 6 semester program, what was I thinking!!!! Anyway, Have you came across any employers in NY that are hiring new grads or are you planning to work elsewhere?
  3. Hi. So does anyone know what the starting wages in New York are for new LPNs?
  4. Thanks!!! But are their any loop holes? For instance, I know that you can work in any VA hospital and they will accept your license from any state if you are an R.N. however, I don't know if this also applies to an L.P.N. position.
  5. Hi everyone. I just found out that I passed my NCLEX for LPN! How long do I have to wait in order to get a license# and start working? My next question is that I am currently in a diploma RN program---this is how I was eligible to take the LPN exam----will I be able to get a permit or endorsement in other states like PA, NJ, DE, or MD? All replies will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!
