Applying to OHSU La Grande campus
Lol...don't be fooled OHSU is extremely competitive. It's actually rated the number 7 nursing school out of 350. Those two classes are required to just apply, but if you were to apply for this coming year you'd have to finish the rest of their prereqs by spring term in March. They offer a BSN program with a completion after 3 years. I am not sure how your credits would transfer or if they even can from an AZ school. Each state has a different curriculum for their classes, some of which are not transferable. I ran into that problem when I moved back home to Oregon after completing a year at University of Utah. Anyway here is a link to the admissions at OHSU: http://www.ohsu.edu/son/academic/bs-lowerdivreqs.shtml

OHSU or Linfield
Oh I forgot, I'm applying for OHSU, U of P, and PCC this coming year, and am freaking out about not getting accepted anywhere, so I had a few questions for you: Where did you take your prerequisites? You don't have to share, but what was your GPA? Do you have any prior certificates or work experience? Do you have any advice to give on getting into OHSU?

OHSU or Linfield
Hey there, congrats on getting accepted to all three schools, that is seriously hard to do. I'm not very well versed in Linfield's program, but I do know that OHSU's nursing school is ranked number 7 out of 350 schools. That's saying something.

How many hours did you study A&P and what grade did you get?
I'm not sure what school you are attending, but at PCC they break up A &P into three consecutive classes. I just finished my second section and all I can say is be prepared!!! My professor advised us to study at least 35-40 hours outside of the classroom each week, and most people thought she was joking. However, I can vouch that it really does that much time to study and memorize everything. I got a B in my first section and an A in my second sections. However, half of my class in the first section failed due to lab class alone. Our lab tests consisted of 30 microscopes set up with slides and we were given just a blank sheet of paper, in which we had two minutes to recognize each type of tissue and spell them correctly. Seriously, be prepared it's like learning a new language.

There are still a lot of good people in this world
Wow, that was really nice of her to do. I know exactly what it's like to save up for a textbook you only use for three months and then sell back for half the price. My financial aid only covers $400 at the bookstore and most anatomy textbooks are that much alone.

Admission Essay needs feedback
It's a pretty great essay despite a few little grammatical errors. I have yet to write mine so I am not fully qualified to criticize, but the one thing I might recommend is to perhaps be a little bit more descriptive about your feelings and emotions, use the thesaurus a ton. I think the admissions office wants to read the essay and know exactly what it feels to be you. You need to connect with the reader your yearning to become a nurse. Hope that helps a bit. It really is good :) I have a couple of questions too: I haven't checked out the OHSU's admissions essay yet, what exactly is the question? And do you just turn it in online with your application? Also, how did you get involved with the volunteering network around here in Oregon? I've looked around, but it seems like everything is full.

Applying to OHSU La Grande campus
Hey there! I am hoping to apply for OHSU this year too. There minimum GPA requirement is a 3.0, which only includes and calculates prerequisite classes. You must have completed 30-45 credit hours depending on what school you do your prereqs at. To apply you have to be finished with at least Anatomy and Physiology I or 231 and Math 95. Here is there website: http://www.ohsu.edu/son/ What school are you at now? I'm at PCC :)
