  1. Get more driving practice done, when you are finished you will need a way to get to work. I use the bus here in Abby and they are always late,my career counselor said there s a bus running every 15 to UFV abby but i have not observed this.Maybe you could go to the bus stop and ask what you will definitely recognize as students, about the bus service.Go up to Chilliwack nursing dept & talk to students if you do not get alot of responses here Sarah is on point tho. practice & gain confidence. When are you starting UFV?
  2. Yes i see walmart has plain white tshirts in the young girls section
  3. What color long sleeve t shirts do you wear and is there an online store that sells them?
  4. Where are you? I am in Abbotsford.
  5. I was looking at SS too but i met with a CARE advisor and she recommended that since i plan on moving from BC UFV would be better recognized than SS and that they do have a better nursing program than SS.
  6. Thank you for your advice. How does this work can a person just do grade 12 in bio etc n get in without having the knowledge of grade 11 or 10 I am looking at bakerview center for learning, seems focused on continuing education.I would like to start something now and get into the university and maybe do math n other subjects if i dont get them done from now to nxt yr fall.
  7. I did not do bio, chem nor phys at a grade 12 level but i would like to get into nursing. I met with a career guidance counselor that has suggested i take the TOWES test. I have called a school that said i do not need to take the towes that i can start Biology & chem today.Since these are subjects i have the least knowledge about if its OK to go ahead and start,is there a basic introductory thats taught n then a student goes from there? I graduated 12yrs ago with not very good math skills. Is it worth taking the Towes?
  8. Did you get any info?
  9. Where did you volunteer? I am meeting with CARE and they will help me with the volunteering.
  10. ''To join our team you will have: *Graduated from an approved School of Nursing'' I JUST FOUND THIS IN A JOB POST,How do i know the school i am choosing is approved by the hospitals etc in BC? What if i choose a school and later find no one accepts students form there?

  19. I was doing ECE through correspondence and finished it ontime but i did take me a few years.i think a class room would be better for me in order to finish something before the deadline lol I will give them a call i also found abbotsford virtual school
  20. Thank your for your reply ash. ''Biology 12 (UFV BIO 093) or first-year university level biology (UFV BIO 111) and Chemistry 11 (UFV CHEM 083) or first-year university-level chemistry (UFV CHEM 105, 110 or 113) with a minimum of C+ grade completed within five years prior to enrolment'' What about prerequisite grade 12 bio chem, where do i do these and I notice schools, in order to do grade 12 its their prerequisite to have bio 11 etc. Maybe persons that are my age and are continuing may be able to tell me where they started over.
  21. Hi I am 28yrs old and have decided that i WOULD LIKE to pursue a career in nursing.I would ideally like to read for a degree in nursing a university here in BC Canada but they requirements are bio math and chem which i don't mind writing over as i wrote exams way back in '98 but only did agricultural science and geography as science subjects.thing is it is required to have at least 30hrs volunteer work TO BE ACCEPTED INTO THE UNI. I have never done anything, and on a search for health care places here, they want volunteers with some qualifications. Where do i start? I am thinking also about doing the pracital nursing and then try to get into university for the degree program,or midwifery school. Anyone one with any ideas of how things are done here in Abbotsford BC?
