  1. Love 12 hour shifts. Sure sometimes they can make for a long tiring day, but I love having more days off. I also like having less driving. I work 7 am to 7 pm and wouldn't have it any other way.
  2. I was a CNA for 8 years before I became a nurse. I also became a LPN before RN. I think it was good for me because it gave me an opportunity to view patient care from different aspects. There is good and bad in every job and I learned a lot from each. I think it is a good idea to start as a CNA. I know it helped me tremendously in my journey to become a RN.
  3. I went to school to get my LPN when I was 25. I had a fellow classmate who was 58 years old. I got my RN when I was 31 and had many classmates that were older than me. Hey I figure I still have at least 30 years left before I hit retirement, so I am going to keep going with my education. If I don't I know I will regret not doing everything I wanted with my life. You can't live a life others have chosen for you. You will never be happy. I wish you luck.
