  1. I work with this very cute nurse in OPD, I just look at her then boom im stress free, I really enjoy working maybe because I like who I work with. why dont you try adding humor to your work, give jokes to your workmates, those things will make your day light and that might be just the difference that you need. Look at me, I just handled 70 patient in OPD, paperworks, sending, endorsing patients to ER and wards but Im very happy and raging to go back to work tommorow.
  2. I'm also in my first job, lucklily for me I got in a hospital where they cater Hansen's Disease. im assign in the OPD and my ussual day fits what you what, all I do is assess the patient get their history and current problem, I also move around alot referring patients to ER or if they are being admitted I refer them to their ward then do a little endoresement then that is go on to the next patient.
  3. I guess I'll just have to start off being a tech. I think being a tech, getting a job and training at the same time for a 21 year old nurse is not that bad at all.
  4. It's me again. Im kinda finding it hard to find a nursing job they all need at least 1 year clinical exp in which I dont have but I saw this hospital they are looking for an ECG Tech. Im thinking if this would be a good entry job for me? Im not in the US and hospitals here are on freeze hiring. So which is better I start my career as an ECG tech and get paid or attend a 6 month Basic Skills Training for nurses which would probably start by August which has no pay? Im really feeling down and pressured now:cry:
  5. Thanks for your replies, well il be using that twist method from now on. Also i'd like to know if putting the bag on flat surface (the port and the sides of the bag will be parallel) while spiking help minimize risk of accidental punctures?
  6. Hi iam a new nurse and iam kinda scared on spiking the port on blood bags, iam always worried that i may puncture the bag, is their anyway i can practice spiking blood bags at home? can i buy an empty blood bag? thanks for your help
