  1. What programs are in that area? I would love to get more info.
  2. I have also considered this school. I haven't toured it and would also like to hear from someone who has attended this school. Being a for profit school has given me second thoughts, especially in view of the shortage of grad nursing positions. Input from anyone who has attended the program would be most appreciated.
  3. Do you have a lab-paq for BIO111? What is missing out of it?
  4. Orchid09- what is your home school? I am looking to maybe transfer to a school that would allow me to take BIO 111 and 201 at the same time. Anybody have any suggestions for me on this?
  5. cojamie- If Orchid09 doesn't buy your LabPaq, I would definitely be interested. Please let me know. How much do you use the microscope at home? I am wondering if my home college would let me use the microscopes there to do my labs when needed.
  6. I don't know. I have always had to wait to find out. Is the book requirements for summer posted on the CCCS website yet?
  7. I am taking it through CCC Online also. My home school is Front Range.
  8. That would be great. Which school do you go to?
  9. I wish Front Range would allow taking both at once. I am taking BIO111 this summer and 201 in the fall. Please let us know how it goes for you.
  10. Have your family members had any problems with finding jobs? What can you tell me about the lab and clinicals for the LPN program? I wanted to go for the RN program but, as soon as they found out I couldn't get financing for the balance that was left after financial aid, they told me to do the LPN program.
  11. Are you doing the RN or LPN program? I also had looked into Concorde about a year ago and heard very negative things. I am still undecided but am working on pre-reqs at a CC. Have you considered National American University? Anyone have any thoughts about them?
  12. Has anyone taken BIO-111 at CCConline? I am wondering how the lab part works. I took it through here because it was full at Front Range and I need it to take 201 and 202. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am starting to worry about it. Thanks!
  13. I am not quite done with my foundation classes. I am trying to take them locally and do the nursing program wherever. I am glad to hear about good experiences with this school.
  14. Thank you so much for the help. I have sent an email to them for some more information. This would be a great thing for me. I was getting discouraged by the waits at colleges closer to my home. I had actually looked at Concorde awhile back and was really uneasy about that choice. Any input from anyone on this school would be great. Thanks!!
  15. Where is NAU and do they have financial aid? What is the cost for the core classes? Thanks for any help.
  16. Coloradogrl, where is NJC and what prereqs are there to get into the lpn program? I am currently at frcc but am looking for a faster route. Thanks.
  17. I was planning on attending the RN program at Concorde in Aurora, CO until I looked harder at it. I don't know about the one there; but, the one here is very unorganized and I heard alot of bad things from current and past students about it. I felt for the price of the school there should have been newer and better equipment and better teachers. I decided not to go there and keep plugging along on the cc route. It may be different and better there; but, look at it thoroughly and decide if it is really worth it.
  18. I would really appreciate knowing more about your experience. how do I PM or e-mail you?
  19. A few more questions. Are clinical sites changed frequently? Do you feel like you are getting a good enough education to pass the NCLEX? When do clinicals start? Thanks for your patience.
  20. Has anyone here gone to LCCC? I live in Colorado and the waiting lists are crazy here. I have looked into Concorde and it is going to be $ 28000 just for the LPN program there. It is closer and an easier drive to LCCC. What I am wondering is an approximate wait time to get into the RN program after pre-reqs are done. I only need one pre-req class before being able to see the nursing advisor and was planning on taking that class and some of the general ed classes too. I want to know what my chances are as far as getting into the class that starts in August of 2010.
  21. I am supposed to start the LPN program at Concorde in August. I can't wait to be able to get a spot at the CC in my area. I have noticed some comments about the program there recently. I would greatly appreciate any input from anyone who is currently or has attended thios program recently. I was going to do the RN; but they wanted 12,000 that was not covered by financial aid up front and that is not feasible for me. I am very excited to be starting my classes; but, it is being overshadowed by the conflicting things I hear. Also, where are clinicals usually done? I live in northern colorado so it will be about a 60 mile drive one way. Thanks.
  22. castilme, Can i ask hen you attended the LPN program at concorde? I am set to start there in August. I had heard a few bad things about their program and it had made me a little nervous. I want to go on to get my RN ( it just isn't financiallly posiible for me to right now) and was wondering if you know of any other schools accept transferred credits from concorde? Also, have you had a hard time finding a job? I would greatly appreciate feedback from anyone with any input in regards to this. Thanks in advance.
