  1. nope sorry...just takes me to my own Facebook page...your name doesn't show when I search
  2. Thank you very much!...I'll keep that in mind. (I did try to find you on Facebook though and couldn't....don't know what happened).
  3. Hi! I start the program at Fairmont State next week...and I'm so very very nervous and exited...any advice for my first few days...I'm 32 and male...so I have that little twist as well...hope you can help!
  4. I am 32 years old, and I'm starting my nursing program here in a week, and I'm very very nervous, yet very very exited. I've already been at my college for two years in a pre-nursing program chipping away at my BSN non-nursing general requirements, and have already completed some of program classes as well...and so far since I have returned as a "non-traditional" student I have maintained a 4.0 GPA...now I don't know how long this will remain, since classes promise to get a lot harder...but I will still do my best! I try to ignore the fact that I'm male in a female dominated major, and that I'm a little older than some of my other peers (but not all!)...and try to remember what I'm here for.
  5. i'm a little less nervous than i was a couple of weeks ago...just have a lot of things to get ready during the summer like immunizations, physical, background check, etc....got a couple of things done though; like cpr training...so i think if i just pace myself i'll get things done...one step at time, just like i did when preparing to get into the program..i'm very exited though and determined...thanks for your comments!
  6. Have two long years of working hard I finally was admitted to the nursing program at Fairmont State University (aka Pierpont)...very nervous and have the summer to emotionally prepart myself to be ready in the Fall...anyone with any suggestions or encouragement for me, please reply. Also, I am a male student entering a ASN program...will I have additional difficulties?
  7. Fairmont State University has a BSN program that follows up its ASN program which is a part of the Pierpont Community and Technical School (both share the same campus in Fairmont, WV)...and a Master's program in nursing is shared with Marshall University.
